Don't know if you sorted the light issue but it might be worth looking at the Moss Europe catalogue. It used to list conversion kits for early MX5's with pop up headlights and the costs were nominal when compared to those for an RX7. (Knightsport? etc) Not likely to be perfect but a useful short cut over starting from scratch? From memory the options went from fully finished enclosures down to a budget choice that left all the fixings in view with the lights up. There were perspex covered ones too though the covers would obviously not fit your 7 - but the 'back-office' bits might make for an easy bodge - sorry - creative solution? RX7/MX5 models being contemporaneous it is likely they would have shared ideas/approaches/solutions if not actually parts?

Jinx...yeah good shout ill go and have a look. i went through all the online motorbike stores forgot about Moss. ive bought 1set street fighter lamps waiting for delivery to see if suitable.

re Japi. Coltie owned since july 2009....never let me down....loads of trackwork.....worth peanuts to them but priceless to me. only 14 left according to howmanyleft.co.uk just like a jap 205 gti

Got a list now. Parts i need lol
1. Front arb droplinks
2. Front disc and pads...found supplier big thank to binliner.
3. Rear discs. Got pads for chrimbo.
4. Light solution.work in progress.
5. Rear seat belts...gonna remove rear seats negating the need and a mot pass.
6. Rear top wishbone pillow bushes. Clives on the case for new ....there not cheap.

14 left? Well, I know that we dont have many of those either. My friend had one, he loved it... I dont have any experiences with those things. Dunno what kind of behavior she has...

New "trial" headlight arrived so will be playing with that today....looks good time will tell and if time suss out whats happened to the coolant buzzer...it dont buzz most people have the coolant buzzer on fault but mine no worky.

had my head in elec drawings so now armed with the relevant page but 4 connectors and a wire colour change...thanks Madza!

i had to todo some trimming but 1 is in and garage door test nice pattern and nice n bright. up n down adjustability and if needed left and right with a little mod. passenger side prepped ready for 2nd 1 to arrive.

Hi Jon,
Like the light mods.
Just a cautionary note, you may experience some flexing of the inner panels now the top frame as been cut. I bought my lights from Mart at Concept 7 many years ago and he conducted a lot of research as his kit required the same top frame cutting a little. He had an aluminium double hoop structure to span over the top of the lights to return rigidity to the top frame.
Not saying you have to do this, just sharing knowledge in case you suffer some flexing later. You can just see the hoop on the attached picture.
