I would say fwhp. So that is like 40hp up from stock

I would say that the car is a lot faster due too the increased power band with the bridges opening at 7500 rpm, the power just doesn't drop off at 9,000 rpm at all

They have dyno they use and weight so you have to present car to them.

Yeah my std engine does not have 7500 kick like the bridgey did

You can cheat the dyno though. Set a rev limit to 7,000 rpm and lift it too race lol

Carl's website claims 280 hp from a renesis. I'm wondering if that's with a bridge or going too a PP intake with side exhausts??

Im not sure if Renny can do 280 with bridge, I doubt that...

Im quessing semi pp with side exhaust. Because whit exhaust at housings, power had to be +300. And if it has exhaust im housings, its not Renny anymoore

With stage 2 porting, 40 horses are quite good result. Plus power band and torgue and rew pick up, quite impressive...

I think it's in the right place to allow the rotary to do what it does best.... Rev its arse off!!!! If your in a bend and have a few more thousand rpms of actual power without it dropping off and not having to change gear your going to be faster that's the way I see it too.

Too make hp you need rpms, that's why nitro cars are so damned fast.

If I ever speak with carl again I will ask what he's does for 280hp but I'm certain it's a full pp inlet and renesis side exhaust

Yep I was so pleased when the car was run in at how good it was, I think my car has an aftermarket clutch too. Iv never driven a standard rx8

Yes, maybe so. But it would be awesome if it kicks in earlier. Just think about it, if it kicks in earlier, you would have rev range something like 6000-10000 that would be fun

So those secondary port valves controls that. Hmm... time to do some research and experiments...

I think Clive said that Carl was doing semi pp project. Dunno if hes done experiments with full pp
