I\'ve been busy last couple of weekends getting it ready for a trackday for its first shake down.....

I ve fitted a new grp shell seat that was a nightmare and did some fibreglass work for first time. Car is narrow body and seats are not available so have had to convert 1.

I ve V mounted the oil cooler and Rad to improve air flow to Radiator.

I ve nut and bolt checked every 1....found an engine mount loose.

Diff has been drained and refilled and a custom breather made as evident of blowing fluid out of original.

Gearbox and Engine oil to be changed tomoz.

Need to get this shakedown done and i can start painting it Winning Blue! and drop the spare engine at Haywards for its rebuild!

Ive got photos if anyone wants to take a look.

When the engine is out i am looking at moving the engine back 150mm so the shifter is more traditionally mounted...this will require the tunnel to be modded and prop shortened.
and my new exhaust to be shortened...doh. But i need to get rid of that link shifter its horrible. And weight will be more evenly distributed.

Track day is too put it through its paces and make a game plan. I just hope the weathers good ...im using keevil airfield it has  lots of run off so i plan to nail it in the afternoon.

re japi

Looks good. :) I see that you have RaceCat ;)

Btw, what is that air intake?
Power is nothing without control. Weight is enemy of performance, handling and braking.

Those coil packs look like they\'ve seen better days. The intake looks like a K&N Typhoon II. Often they give problems on the standard car because they don\'t give the low rev flow characteristics of a regular intake and suck up hot air from the engine bay. The hot air shouldn\'t be a problem on this but the idle might be lumpy and rubbish.

Apparently putting details of your car spec in your signature means the nice folks on exile-rotorsport think you\'re a fool.  I can think of no higher compliment!

Those coils are off the spare engine. The ones in the car are reciepted new checked them dont show any signs of burning through.

Air filter is a K n N ...it was heavily oiled by previous owner..so took it off and blew it through gently with an air line and cleaned the maf with electrical contact spray.

Ideally if engine goes back 150 mm I can tuck it under back of nose cone with a cold air feed....ive already shortened it as it tended to flop about abit.....do like it though looks cool...but not practical.
