Must be the engine there considering as dont know any other new rotary engine out there...
That engine in the Westfield aerorace chassis....very nice!  Lightweight and fully independent suspension allround.
Hope they do it!

If I remember correctly,  that Crighton guy used to work in Norton. And with they rotarys.
Power is nothing without control. Weight is enemy of performance, handling and braking.

don't give up buddy it would be such a waste although i don't race i know how you can feel of chucking money at something that don't seem to work but as Clive says all it takes is one good shot in the arm to bring back good times. now i got mine sorted and no CEL codes ( first time in six years) it great again have a time out and then have another go best of luck ;)

Don't worry Tony...im not giving up.
I think the racing in special gts is on hold for now. I just want to enjoy the car and make it better as I go.
This current engine is a test for the sump so hoping no bearing failures then I can decide what goes back in. Its always going to be class A so ideally supercharged with an rx8 rear subframe and 4.4 diff in the back 350 bhp 600kg fully independent......lol.

Just enjoy it for now on trackdays see the track day season out. still carrying some damage from the crash so over winter get that repaired and there's a list of jobs I need todo.

RX-8 rear subframe would be good idea. Just because that Ford rear is antique and crap :D I bet that it would give you much better cornering and handling...

Yes and its worth a few quid as well. Sold would easily cover cost of conversion.

Nothing like a 4hour round trip in the Westfield to reignite the passion and re install the confidence in the car after recent shenigans....suprised how frugal she was as well. Not the most comfortable of rides but much fun and kids love it lots of return waves to kids on the motorways....

Well done for the commitment John, having driven a Westfield myself on the motorway for long distances, I know how you would have felt !!

Great to finally see the Westory and really pleased you finally sorted out the problem.

Thanks Chris yes and had a chat with Steve (mx5motors) who informed that some of the early cars did not have a position switch on the SSV so although my car has this switch the pcm does not have relevant software to generate the code which is reason why i had no code to fault find on...always nice to know WHY!
I think Casey should buy my wifes R3!

:) The thought did cross my mind - if I had more space here I might have bought it as a backup car  ;D

Having said that, my wife isn't keen on my having 3 rotaries already  :) :)
