So sump off and bolts supplied with sump bottom out in blind hole just as acting on flange so you think your torquing up but in fact not. Each bolt need at least 1mm shortening....thatll explain the weepage. Old bolts too short new bolts too long. Hey ho hacksawing 30 odd bolts. Id write an email to seller but not worth the blood pressure...sump is lovely customer service cuffy!

Im gonna sell it guys getting no enjoyment anymore. Hopefully whole if not its worth a fortune in bits.
5k for whole car including 3 sets of wheels spare stripped bridgeport and immense spares package.
Comfirm old engine takes abuse without bearing failure with new sump and pressure mod. Rebuild and install bridgeport and youll  have a serious track weapon.
Ive spent over 12k get yourself a bargain.

GLWTS, what are you thinking of spending the money on if you manage to sell it?

Grant Monkhouse

How much did you pay for the MPS?

boosted

Mps was 9700 i haggled a lot and took a trade deal as car warrantys useless anyway. Money back in bank . Race dream its done . Ive got my colt track car still only 130bhp but it can go round combe in 1.24 and mix it with boost boys.
I gotta stop spending on the Westfield.

No body ever got rich racing rotaries

Nah...any club racing its for the enjoyment and when your getting no racing and spending all your time in the garage grates a bit. That said bearing failure should be sorted with this sump and press reg that should have been in already and away you go . Somebody will get a bargain id rather sell complete but if i have to break i will. I got no interest putting the s2000 lump in thatll be on ebay soon as well. The shogun will go as well.

Sad to read and can say I know how you feel, one season I committed to an engine sponsor who saw me win many races the previous season then armed with his "experimental" engines rather than my own, I lost 5 engines sat on the in-field won no races and changed formulas at the end of the season as the easiest way to get out of the engine deal.

Three times over the years I have sold up------- and come back-------------- this time round, had not so many people helped along the way I too my have thrown the towel in------------but------------------------yesterday I drove and felt a fully mapped car finally that finally goes how it should---------and that's all it takes----------just one good run and all the enthusiasm comes flooding back ;)

Now booked for a Brands evening session Tuesday week just as a systems check on track and then off to Coombe for the following Nippon round.

Jon--------- before a final decision my advise would be, get back in the colt to get out on track, this will then let  you realise what an awesome car you have been battling to build and want to continue---------------------maybe.
All the best Clive

re japi

Yes racing makes peoples mad. And broke... :/

But I agree with Clive. I really hope that you will continue to work and race with Westory... Even though at this point it seems impossible and pisses you off.. Take a little brake, just to get your batterys full and start to work on her with new energy...
