I was all set to come along to this but its snowing pretty badly at the moment, so it doesn\'t look like I\'ll be along :(

I\'m not as early a riser as you guys !!  I\'m leaving Croydon in 5 mins, see you around 11:30ish :)

Brett

Wasn\'t a bad turnout considering the weather :)

I\'ll post up my pics later :)

Clive/Lisa,
MarkP here please accept my apologies for not arriving at today\'s event, but when we got up today, the weather here was atrocious, snowing and bitter, we aimed to leave at 8:30 but we hung on for an hour, but the snow persisted, and from here it is a good hour and threequarter drive, so with great regret we called it off. However we are determined to attends some more club events this year.
All the best to you both

No worry\'s Guys Japfest will be along shortly:Thumbsup! , as Brett has said it wasn\'t a bad turnout considering the weather

HUGE thanks to those who did brave the elements, not only to get there but also that you stayed through thick and thin (read rain and rain)

Despite all this you all seemed to enjoy the day and it was great to see quite a few new and enthusiastic new guys at the event,

Right, we have all paid our penance, so we will now have sunshine for the rest of our events this year starting at Japfest on 11th of May :D

I will get some Pictures of our award winners up later
All the best Clive

I would post up some pics but they are mainly inside Mercedes-Benz World! :Giggle

It was nice to see everyone and as Clive says I think after the rain, snow and cold today we deserve some warmer weather. :cool

Thanks for organising the event :)  I had a stroll around the banking later on, amazing and really evocative scene.  It\'s great that such a historic motor racing venue was able to accommodate our club.

Look forward to your pics Brett.  If you know whose cars each one is, that would be great, I wasn\'t always able to put names to cars (I don\'t even know which cars won some of the categories).

Best Old Skool was Brett\'s Montrose "Rotary":Giggle

Best Gen 1 was a real nice guy and his wife at their first event with us with his gorgeous Green Gen one that had been pampered all its life :Thumbs-up

Best Gen  2 was Greg R3 with his cab that he had been rightly itching to show in its new guise :Thumbs-up

Best Gen 3 was Kevin (Kevint)  with his beautiful, stock  many years owned FD :cool

Best Gen 4 Was some weirdo with a yellow  RX-8 and if you look closely you can see Lisa working his strings:Giggle

Best of Show was the much travelled supporting MRC events,  Chris (CJR) with  his hugely  modded 3rd Gen :3Confused

Special mention must go to Andy Howe as it was great to see his resurrected  EGI that was first shown by Andy at Rotorstock one and many more after.:driving

Special thanks must go to Kees who came all the way over from the Netherlands with his brand new Mazda 6 “rotary”.

Well he told me it was Rotary, maybe, just maybe, he was not telling me the truth and it was piston powered after all  :Hammer:eek::rollin:rollin

Finally the last picture is shown because it shows MRC in one shot, a 1st Gen and a 4th Gen pictured together which shows how MRC welcomes all Rotarys :Party
All the best Clive

Had a brilliant day, people were right not even the rain could dampen the mood! Brooklands had some good exhibitions but best area was definitely MRC area!

Did not expect to win a trophy so that was truly ace, and always great to see you all :D

I like it! :Thumbs-up

There was a really good yellow / red / blue shot from behind the MRC gazebo but Neil was waiting for it to stop raining - and it didn\'t.

Greg - I thought you were GregR3 because you had an R3? :xconfused

I do have an R3 too, a sunlight silver one! I am paying more attention to the FC of late though.

Ann - Seeing your car today made me want to wrap mine! It\'s a lovely example, great colour!

AMH

Thanks Greg - sorry I didn\'t get a chance to meet / chat with you, took shelter in MB World most of the time!

Wow, who in MRC ows W.T.O.L Harrier??? ;)

That yellow FD is looking angry. :) And that red FB looks nice too :)
Power is nothing without control. Weight is enemy of performance, handling and braking.
