Fantastic news :)

Are we going to try and keep a Spring gathering of some sort?

Are we going to try and keep a Spring gathering of some sort?

What about a casual meet - somewhere like Gaydon or Duxford
I started with nothing and I have most of it left

Prof

or a spring \'run\', head to or meet somewhere ?

Shame I missed the last Spring meet at Brooklands then - seems to have been a landmark.  Slight case of being full of cold and having no car yet :2Rolleyes

Seemed strange to have a Prof free Brooklands! :(

I wonder if a meet up or run to this: http://motorsportatthepalace.co.uk/ would be good next year?  :)

Glad to hear there will be some sort of Brooklands day.  We did give some sort of example for the next Brooklands Mazda day with the all new Mazda6 luckely I don\'t have to change the piston engine for a rotary though.:Giggle

Thanks a lot Brett for the photos and info.

To check I\'ve got this right, I\'m just going to re-post Brett\'s pics of the winner of each category: (hope you don\'t mind Brett ;) )

Quote from: clive;853581Best Old Skool was Brett\'s Montrose "Rotary":Giggle

Best Gen 1 was a real nice guy and his wife at their first event with us with his gorgeous Green Gen one that had been pampered all its life :Thumbs-up

Best Gen  2 was Greg R3 with his cab that he had been rightly itching to show in its new guise :Thumbs-up

Best Gen 3 was Kevin (Kevint)  with his beautiful, stock  many years owned FD :cool

Best Gen 4 Was some weirdo with a yellow  RX-8 and if you look closely you can see Lisa working his strings:Giggle

Best of Show was the much travelled supporting MRC events,  Chris (CJR) with  his hugely  modded 3rd Gen :3Confused

About the only pic I took, of the evocative banking.  Amazing to think of people wrestling aero-engined racing cars here at 100mph+.  Not as steep as Monza, but the bowl shape and the width makes it feel great.

Bit of a shame we (obviously) can\'t have a trackday here, but it\'s great we could gather our rotaries on such storied ground, and well done to the club leaders for securing another event next year :Thumbsup!

That\'s where we spent most of the day so didn\'t put the pics up as non-rotary! :Giggle

I did notice a car parked right up on the banking at MB World - I hope he had a good hand break! :eek
