And if you look closley you can see the lubrication escaping from the engine

A bit of a drift before I ran out of road and went grass

Thats a one evil looking Westfield. :) Lubrication? Any damage to engine...? :(
Power is nothing without control. Weight is enemy of performance, handling and braking.

No Damage apart from the hole in the sump.
The picture is the point at where it happened and I shut the engine down straight away. When the sump was off for repair there was no foriegn bodies in the sump or pick up.

I took the westy to a susoension set up specialist yesterday. They are doing a friendly for me in between jobs and are going to set the car up with wheel alignment, cornerwheights, damper dyno and setting and anti roll bar set up. When done it will be near as damit and will only require a "click" either way on the dampers at the test session on 17th may.
But all was nearly lost. I arrived in due time and started to unload the car. When I was bringing the car off the trailer the crutch strap bolt snagged on the trailer. This often happens if the ground is on a slight slope and is easily rectified if I put the car in gear to stop it rolling away and then jack the nose of the trailer up a little to free it. Some one forgot to put the car in gear. I wont name names but if I could kick myself in my own backside I would. The car shot of down the slope towards the very posh house that has 2 rozzas living in it. I am running flat out after it and just as I got there my feet decided to have an argument with each other and I triped up sending me over the front wheel. I lande up side down twisted with one leg under the car, the other under the front wheel and me grabbing at the exhaust to try and stop the car from going any further. Very lucky indeed.
I am now severly bruised up both legs, shoulder right arms and my back looks like its been attacked by a cheese grater. If it happens again I will just let the black basterd roll away.:Grrr

I see. And I thought you were saying I had balls for chasing the car and elegantly throwing myself at it.

Now I know what the "Sprint Champion" bit in the sig alludes to...faster than a rolling Westie :D Sorry, I know it\'s wrong to laugh, but...thanks :god

kiwimazda

I am laughing now. It must have looked quite good with my swan dive over the car.

Will try not let the new toy get away tomorrow

Somebody would\'ve got their £250 from Jeremy Beadle for that, if caught on video! Well done with the Rugby Tackle though! :)
