I can see the exhaust peeping out - looks very much made for each other, that engine and that car. Low C of G, fairly back in the car....looks right.

If I remember correctly, the person who spotted me which ended up with me joing the forum was running a rotary in a westfield chasis - Bill Shruvington. Sadly no longer a member - but I suspect someone has contact details.

If you do a google search for rocus or low cost rotary you can find some rotaries in \'7\' type crates.

such as : http://www.geocities.com/phbura@ameritech.net/index.html

There was also an attempt at a commercial venture along these lines with the Viking:

This has to be one of the ultimate cars to put this kind of engine into :)

The last time I spoke to Bill was when we loaded his westfield onto my trailer.
Yes its his old car. Purchased in quite a sad state and with out engine and box. We are using my 13b 4 port with full bridge on a 51mm IDA Weber. Close ratio gear box etc etc. A lot of work has gone into tidying up and taking weight out of the car

I reckon it will be worth it in the end though - before I bought the RX7 I was seriously considering a Westfield Seight - although it would have not been a practical daily car ;)

Brilliant - haven\'t seen this car for so long... when do you reckon it will be on the road again?

I can\'t understand why more people havent done this, fantactic idea, light car, with a light and powerful engine.

Yep, fun and mental are 2 words to describe it  :Thumbs-up
400 BHP - 650 KG\'s = 616 BHP Per Ton of Rotary Power

That\'s the way to do it! :Thumbsup!
