re japi

Good luck for new project. :) and please post some pics...

And good luck for new season. :)

Btw, im a bit curious. What type/model/year 626 gearbox internals you are using?
Power is nothing without control. Weight is enemy of performance, handling and braking.

Good question, I dont know as I didnt build it but can find out. If I were to change gearbox I would go for the MK1 MX5 unit

Cheers

re japi

Ok, thanks. :) The reason why im so curious is that there is very few rx´s and mx´s here. So, if i have possibility to use more common and cheaper components, that would be great... :)

Its been a busy day.
The final fit on the new body work was done and its all finished in that area. Just have to bleed brakes, wheel alignment and weld a small bracket to the chassis that holds the front brace of the roll cage similar to a "Petty Bar" on NASCAR cars.

Really looking forward to 10th April now:cool

Things have gone from good to bad in an instant.
Work has now gone absolutly mental and I will be working every day now inc sats and suns inc saturday before the event. The car has to go to TP Services for the wheel alignment and brakes but I also need to be there for that but have to work. On top of that I will finish work on tuesday at 5, jump in the sheilas car and drive direct to Exeter to collect some wheels and then home again. Mad yes!!
So here was me yestarday thinking that I have plenty of time for a change and now its gone pear shaped. Its going to be close as to wether or not its going to be ready. I think its going to be one of those paint drying moments on the first practice run:Hammer

Still sounds like you are on top of it though. It will all slot into place.

Good work done on the car last night. Brakes all bled and its the best peddle feel I have had in the car. And it starts and runs a treat. The new fuel system is fantastic. Only 2 jobs to do on the car and the trip to exeter( but you dont worry about things like that.
There is a good selection of cars entered but it looks like its going to be a 2 horse race between myself and another in a V8 westy:3gears-lh

Damn and blast. A Nissan GTR has been entered and that now makes it 3 horses in the feild

Tbh without any problems I think 1st in class and 3rd overall is the best I will be able to do. It\'s going to be a big ask to get in front of the v8 westfield and the gtr

shaunwil

Are GTR that fast ?? Is it in a standard trim ?

It has from what I understand 600bhp. It won our last Sprint in October but at that venue it was like Santa pod to the first corner. Next week is a right hander off camber and down hill from the start line so it may suit me a little better. Time will tell

kiwimazda

Dear god. Just got the address for my trip to exeter and back tonight. 3 hours each way and that\'s without stopping for food and a leak. Leaving at 5 when I finish work. Madness.:3gears-lh

Left work at 4 and back indoors for half 9. Result.
