Well said that man

Should bring him along to RS3 so we can all have a go  :D

When I had RX-HEAVEN\'s stock FD on loan I could only do a 14.5 @ 97 down the 1/4, that was at RS2

I can only just do 13.6 now with my street port, panspeed ecu, HKS RS kit and nur spec back box so I think he may well be faster than some FD\'s.

He over took me once on the A3 I was in the inside lane doing 50MPH I hope he doesnt count that as a \'kill\'  :rollin

ROAD RACING IS VERY BAD, RWYB and TRACK DAYS ONLY PLEASE  :3gears-lh

If were comparing like for like stage 1 mods on an fd will get it in the 12\'s :)

absolutely, not only is road race dangerous its not a real test for reasons said before :)

I think these types of threads (the original from Socks, not this one on MRC) usually end up turning quite negative. I don\'t like seeing them on any forum.  :(

I don\'t think you can ever use the phrase "I had a race with a {insert car} on the A{insert road} and I killed it - I thought {insert car}\'s were faster, even in stock form?!".

When it comes to driving/racing on the road tt\'s just not a true test. You don\'t know whether the other drivers were trying or not, whether their cars are modded, being run-in... there could be a whole number of reasons why you "killed" them. And as a consequence a thread starts up with all kinds of statistics, facts, past stories etc. getting thrown around.

And there\'s always one or two posts that digress (sp) to what is essentially "your cars\' sh!t, my cars\' the best".

I think if you want to compare true facts and statistics about your car and someone elses then fine - I can\'t see anything wrong with that. But keep the "I killed a blah blah blah" comments for track-days where you can back up your comments.

For the record I don\'t dislike 200sx\'s at all - they are a car to be respected, just like scoobies, skylines, and all things jap. Also, I don\'t mean to disrespect anyone from the Socks forum. The type of person who starts those kinds of threads exist of most performance cars forum (possibly a few on here), but most live on BMW forums.   :evillaugh

My two pence worth.

Cheers

^ Think that sums it all up pretty well :)

Quote from: Christopherjames01uk is a friend of mine and what he says is true.

The 200sx gearing is shorter then the RX-7. He a friend of mine and I have 300 at wheels but he keeps with me until he changes gear then I still have 2000rpm more. Im faster than him but his car is still quick. He is quicker than stock RX-7\'s form a 3rd gear roll on at about 60mph Im affraid to say. Also hes beaten one off the lights and he started behind it.

I was driving back from Reading with him when he raced a couple of you that were at the meet and he beat you both and this was with his heavy 18" wheels on which has made him alot slower than he was.

... and yes the fd\'s were racing I WAS THERE!

Please dont go on about Street racing after my meets as it reflects poorly on us all (The Reading meet is a static meet)
Thanks Def :(
