In an ideal world id be Castle Combe GT champion by now and sponsored by Pettite and i would have the cash to buy it off my wife so she could get a more ecconical car for daily commute...supposed to be in Swindon 1 day a week but its regulary 3 now. Car in tax and fuel is costing here Â£300 a month...i now work 6 mins away from new job and allthough i really really want it i A do not have the cash and be it would never get warm !
So where looking for a cheaper alternative lower tax and better mpg. Still needs to be fast shes a petrol head....poss an mk2 mps! Tax is 290 a year instead of 490 and mpg is better....just doing the looky at mo.

A mazda 3 mps? I can't remember which version is which but one of those came with 255hp!! Front wheel drive, that's just nuts

Yes i test drove 1 yesterday.....goes like stink. Torque steering nut box. After hoon indicated 27mpg. Its better suited for my wifes style of driving.
It has all the toys and more that the r3 has. Blue tooth and all that jazz that does not interest me. But front wheel drive and turbo power from 2700 revs its suits her. I was very impressed with it wait n see poss fn2 type r but needs revving like the r3 so ive pretty much discounted it.....she should have a diesel really but she said NO!

27mog is still better than what I got running the rx8 in!!! Hahaha

She wont drive it anywhere near to its full potential and i expect it will get better mpg still. Where as driving the r3 in eco mode does not get any better than 22mpg.

Longer it takes to sell.....longer me got! Lol...prob gonna be up asking for circa 7k. Looking at whats about mileage etc. Car is immaculate and on 42k. Got to change the plate etc. So i can use for a bit.

Not yet....anyday now......fingers x idont get bummed on shipping duty....its 1/4 inch lower than standard.....i bottom out the other day!!!!! Drivers engine mount needs a haircut with grinder to fit it but hopefully does the job. Ill get some piccy up when it arrives.

So you sump will be lower than subframe?

Its lower now ! 70mm clearance....fine for track....scary on the roads....ill cant raise engine any more. Bonnet and uim fag paper clearance. Track car so no issue...i just avoid traffic calming.
I pulled over straight away when it bottomed out no problem. Wont go down that road quite so quick next time. If i go anywhere on road ill raise suspension.

Also gonna go along to a local sprint event soon and see what the crack is...just concerned about seat time....seems like a lot of waiting around...but same can be said for the 1 race i did...

got a week off after tonights shift so plenty of tinkering R3 and Westory will be getting some TLC.
