Also been researching parachute effect....air is trapped in rear of car under bodywork. I HAD a rear diffuser but it is now obvious that air was still getting up under the tub and i have been keeping an eye on temps with one eye so i have a theory that although ive done all the ducting work to the front the air flow out through the only gap in the floor being the prop tunnel is not sufficient and air is still getting trapped in rear tub....enough to be bend an ally sheet in half and break 9 odd rivets !..So i\'m goona cut holes in the rear tub and sheet the prop tunnel. Hopefully bringing temps down further and reducing drag....mmmm...rotor shaped holes!

Just use a hole saw, much neater, quicker and uniform:)

As for no room for turbo!!! Pah, it doesn\'t need to go under the body shell. A nice sized borgwarner sx200 would be great, quicker spool, mid range power, awesome shizzle

I was thinking how the hell can i cut rotor shapes in fibreglass....so circular holes and in the winter laser cut rotor shapes over the top...winter job though.

Hi fella,

Quick question - During the redesign of my fuel system I am planning two interchangable tanks mounted above the diff.  One for hill climb (5L) and one for circuit work.  What is you fuel usage around Combe?

Lol....very good question!  I ran out on my first and only race so far this year! Ive employed the services of a stick now as my fuel gauge is rubbish! I have a test session monday so will be able to give you accurate info then.  Ive had no issues of fuel stavartion round combe or keevil until the race when my fuel level dropped below the pick up which i have now lowered and positioned on lowest point of tank on drivers side. Hoping i have not solved 1 issue and created another! Ill update monday.

Not in a good mood. rear handbrake lever when handbrake off touches rear inner of 13" wheel rim...looked at re profiling lever to move and bending just too close for fix and forget solution and when wider wheels on rear prob have same issue. Tempted to remove handbrake function all together but want mot and allways nice to have handbrake to pull as back up.So need me some rear brakes. Problem with a kit cars is there made from bits of other cars. Dont know what i have fitted to rear ford something.
Have a test day tomoz:Hammer:Hammer:Hammer:Hammer:Hammer:Hammer:Hammer:Hammer

no point taking the car as have to use the 15" wheels and nothing to gain!

ho hum, always knew this year was going to be developmental!

I would imagine you have the Sierra rear disks and calipers (From the 4x4 stuff) if your chassis is of 1990\'s vintage.  I think there was a switch to VW Golf calipers at some point.

There are endless options for calipers but if you want to retain the handbrake then I think the HiSpec ones are the only option.  Westfield re-brand them so cheaper to go to HiSpec direct.  I have ditched the handbrake.

These things do come to test is...

On the HiSpec website the calipers are listed as Rear SVA Calipers for either Ford or VW lug mount which covers the Westfield bases.  140+ VAT

Although I don\'t know if it will solve you clearance issues.

Have a good cup of tea, scratch the head and all will be fine.

I\'m having a bad day also my faithfull old tig welder gave up the ghost,  these AC/DC Tig\'s have a habit of being expensive to fix :(
