flatout

i have been keeping an eye on this build for a long time now and have to say you have been doing a great job,

Prof

This build is coming along nicely :)  Nice one Timmy.

Those OMP lines do get fragged so easily, the plastic doesn\'t like to bend anymore.  Nice job on those.

Looking forward to the fuel update :)

I would love to make proper pop-up low-rise on my FC with something like those, or with separate Hella H7 projectors for lo and hi!

Timmyc

flatout - thanks man, been trying to keep the work to a decent standard, its been a long time in the making

prof - thanks prof :) yeah the lines were very brittle, surprised they lasted as long as the had, going to make a new set for the bridgeported engine as well :)

a little teaser of part of the fuel system for you prof

jimmydanny - i have a set of headlight rods somewhere that allow the  headlight to sit lower than standard, will try fit them mate, you could maybe make a set yourself that sit even lower

Timmyc

since the last update a few little things were sorted
finally metal tied my manifold

painted and fitted the coolant pipe for my heaters

tidied up the wiring loom near the bulkhead

battery box in

stripped my handbrake lever to get the lever out as it had slipped down and fired on a handbrake button i had lying, will swap the level for the black standard buttoned one later on, had used alan key bolts on it now as well

put the doors and bonnet on, actually looks like a car again

not looking forward to fitting these lol

made a bracket and fitted the killswitch

trail routed my killcords and ran battery cable

decided to install my ecu properly, so made a bracket

fitted the bracket

fitted the ecu

have now routed the wiring above the the ecu to make it nice and neat :)

a little present from my gf

good quality and shiney :)

while doing the ecu i made a template for my hand commander

then made a little holder for it, will look nicer when mounted and sprayed :)

then this arrived :D

un packed it :)

swirl pot arrived

aeromotive regulator arrived as well :D

assembled some of the fittings

bolted on the regulator, (not the fittings im using yet, also got a jegs gauge to fit to it)

took the in tank pump out to replace it with my walbro

modified the pump cradle

fitted the pump

fitted a metal plate to the rear and bolted down all the components

swirl pot and fittings to walbro

fittings in the engine bay to the rails

the regulator and the feed and return pipes

with the inlet manifold on

the finished product :) ran the lines down the passengers sill, all the lines are teflon braided so i wont get a petrol fume smell plus there is the option of boxing in the setup if i come to use it for competion use :)

changed all my brake pipe routing along with pull cords and battery cable, all look nice and neat :)

quickly jacked my wheel into the arch to check if 255/45/17s fitted and they do nicely with a little camber

cut some silicon hose and pipe and did my intercooler piping, although the pipe is temporary as i need an alloy bit to weld my dumpvalve flange onto, i have also done all my radiator pipe and its read to be fitted with coolant :)

now... the biggest bit of news is all about power and shiney things!!! :-D

i have aquired a few lovely item from a very nice friend for the bridgeported engine :)

a Garrett TA45 HKS hybrid :-D rebuilt with 0 miles

a strengthened HKS twin scroll manifold with 50mm HKS wastegate :-D

both together and on the engine :D

cant wait to fit this around christmas time or in the new year :D

but how do you control such amazing shiney power??
with a wonderfully shiney ORC twin plate clutch with lightened flywheel is how :D

currently working on my own seat rails as bride ones dont allow my seats to go low enough so will see how they turn out :)

just need oil feed and return lines and my extra fuel rail along with fluids and ishould be able to start her up :D

festa

All I can say is epic build mate!!!

Timmyc

thanks man :) i cant wait to start it :D

m1tch

TiddlesRX7

Very very nice mate. Keep up the good work.

I don\'t need to upgrade my stock turbo to beat your ass!

Get your finger out, get it on the road and start driving it then!!! (B.Martin 25/2/12)

thanks for the comments folks, hoping its going to be very very quick lol the crazy engine will tell :D

that fb sounds funky :D cant wait!!!! :D

re japi

Power is nothing without control. Weight is enemy of performance, handling and braking.

Will be interesting to see what the engine makes as its a hybrid FC/FD engine with the best of both of each engine in it plus an epic old school turbo :D

Timmyc

it will be very interesting to see what it makes :) its going to be amazing when it starts up :D
