yea my fav is the white..put would put a dash a few things back in.... the red one im not sure about...the burgundy the front end makes my brain fart and i cant make up my mind but its cheap and i love the inside and its cheap enough to maybe think 20b

karl_tate

yeh i think i would have to have a dash but thats no real task. i carnt believe how cheap they have put it up for. the red one is a very tidy car as is the porker front\'d, you either love or hate it but its rare.. 20b, hell yes.

not updated in ages, havent touched the car until last week, decided to start stripping the suspension ready for the new bushes and a lick of paint. stripped the front drivers side and burnt the bushes out as my press was too small.

painted and rebushed, need bushes for the antiroll bar drop links and i can start putting it back together and then do the other side.

Kawasaki Green FTW :Laugh. What did you actually paint them with, Karl? Just rattle cans or is it powdercoat or something clever?

karl_tate

i was going to powdercoat but couldnt get hold of an old cooker for DIY powdercoating in time, but then realised you carnt actually change the ball joint, how stupid is that :(

glass blasted clean, primer and then few coats of 2 pac rattle cans

They do look really good. I love attention to detail like that on a car build. Good stuff.

cheers tony, i try my best lol

got all the bushes pushed in ready for refitment. started on the drivers side, got the top done and then bottom in ready to bolt in but when i came to fit the brace that goes between drivers and passengers side, there was no way it could fit with the newer bushes.

as you can see here, with the old bushes, the slieve would fit inside the washer that is part of the brace and then slot in between the the arm and mount.

but there is no way that its going its going to fit with the new bushes so it will be up forsale if any one know if its standard or aftermarket. its adjustable in the middle with no markings from what i can see. will get some better pics.

then hub back on, bolted up and new track rod ends fitted and thats the drivers side just about done. got to do the bushes for the anti roll bar drop links and paint the caliper as i dont think im going to polish them.

exact same process on the the pax side and ripped the ABS out and associated pipes and left it at that. not sure when the next update will be tho :o

well this is the brace

so... antiroll bar links, didnt want to fork out for some so decided to try and make something out of my originals. not sure if it will work just yet so will have to see.

i made a mould of the end and the burnt the rubber out. then used some polyurethane liquids. will see how they are once they set properly.

also removed a load more crap out of the bay, but now ive removed the abs, ive realised how crap the paint looks now and all the bits i missed :(

decided to make a splitter for the front but the paint job didnt really go to plan, bit of a mess but looks fine at a distance :o

then got the rear up in the air and started stripping it all out. was quite easy really, was expecting it to be a big job but was struggling a bit holding it on my own.

Awesome work man!
I know what you mean about the rear asembly - get a mate to help you put it back in, it\'s a PITA on your own - just for the ease of maneouvering it helps to a have a \'jack buddy\'.

Alsow ith you on teh bay thing - mine looked pretty godo before I did a load of the rewiring, now it\'s an absolute mess - scratched, scarred, and chipped. I\'m just going to bit the bullet, make sure everything is bob on, then take the block out and get it painted up by a pro with 2 pack.
