Just had a catch up read on this (As I hadnt followed it since page 12)  Looks great :)

How did your home made poly drop links go in the end or did you not get enough chance to test them?

karl_tate

thanks guys :)

from what i can remember they worked really well. after i got the suspension setup it handled like a dream so no complaints. tbh a real test would be to put some aftermarket ones on there and test again but im happy with how it is (was)

might have a bit of update later. was planning on finishing the engine mounts off and putting the motor back in today :D

back at ya dude :D

so engine mounts sorted and it was time for the crane. the little motor went back in its home very nicely. had a problem bleeding the clutch but then realise i didnt have enough fluid  the twin plate feels very nice too, that 6 puk was a pig compared to the pedal feel of this.

and left it at that as i couldnt be bothered to do any more lol

so manifold thanks to syed, wrapped and fitted. then sorted most of the engine wiring out, just a few left for the primary injectors which are away getting cleaned. the rest is on the uim and alternator which is also away getting reconned.

then fitted the oil cooler lines back up, sorted the power steering pipes and starter motor. also fitted the rad and intercooler back in too.

Is the turbo OK with the coolant line still in the stock position ?  I had to shift mine over to the other side.

ive been a bit behind in updating this :p

well got a delivery of bits. went to test fit the v band clamp but it wouldnt sit right on the exhaust housing. the outlet is a beveled type flange as you can see so its going to have to be milled down.

decided that i didnt like where the twin power and ignitor was and i wanted to put a good power source on the ignitor. but then looking at the twin power loom, coil loom etc im going to make up a new loom for the whole lot which means i have been doing more chopping, soldering and re looming.

going to chop these plugs out too

and the twin power and ignitor are going to live under the pax headlight.

downpipe finally made up and tacked ready for some good tigging. took nearly 3 hours in and out of the pit to get all the right angles, what a mare.

then finished off the wiring for the twin power and ignitor, mounted and thats all finished now too.

....so turbo oil feed and drain sorted out, UIM all back on, fitted turbo exhaust housing. then wrapped the down pipe and got that all fitted up, went to put the w/b sensor in and doh, the god damn gearbox is in the way.

anyway getting the fitting repositioned tomorrow so hopefully she will start tomorrow night, carnt wait to hear what its going to sound like
