TapaTalk is now working OK, but still with the strange "out of sequence" last 10 posts on many topics. Tapatalk have been made aware and I'm awaiting their response.

Post 66...my 62 and 63 post went in correctly...but not now there way up there ^^^.

So, all agreed this is fixed? Numbering on my Android phone is one different to everyone else for some reason - the first post having no number on Tapatalk for me but it's not an problem.

Doh, sorry to confuse! My numbering on Tapatalk is the SAME as everyone else's. I was viewing via a browser at the time, where the numbering is out by one, the first post being zero.

All looking good with Tapatalk, at last!

Just when the forum is operating smoothly (I think) and Tapatalk is behaving itself, I've discovered there are updates to be installed to the forum (v2.1.2 to v2.1.3) AND the Tapatalk plugin requires updating (v5.1.3 to v 5.1.4).

As things are, apparently, stable, I will postpone both updates until the New Year as, if the updates cause issues, I won't have time to fix them over the festive period.

I'll give forum users notice when I intend to carry out the updates.....

Drat, I just did a test forum update and an error occurred - only one single error in the 88 steps involved in the update though.

I looked on the SMF support site and I'm not the only one with the same error. It is caused by a rather sneaky addition of a single line of code by TAPATALK in a SMF file. This caused the SMF automatic update process to throw the error as the original file did not pass a check on what was expected, having been altered.

Now I know the reason for the error, I can work around it, but will still leave it until early in the New Year, in case something unforeseen occurs
