Instead of using the "Quick Reply" which is automatically presented, opt for the "Reply" button at the foot of the message. That gives you an "Attachments and other options" menu with drag and drop as one method to attache photos.

I may have to play around with max file sizes for photos, when I have a moment, as the current limit is a bit low for modern cameras at ~9Mb.

I have noted the reported issue with embedded YouTube videos that throw and error when you try to play them. I can see the problem.

On the previous forum software, the format to embed a YT video was to put the full YT url between the embed YT tags ["youtube"]and["/youtube"]

With the new forum software the "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=" common part of the url is absent/removed. If it's there, an error is generated.

It's quite simple to fix an individual link, by editing to remove the extraneous "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=" between the tags, but we have many hundreds scattered over the forum, so will look to some sort of batch program to make the edits needed.

All NEW YT embeds use the new format, so that is fine.

BTW, on the homepage, at the bottom of the page, you will see this:

Under "Forum Stats", last line, there is a link, "View most recent posts"!

It seems the last 2 weeks or so of posts are listed here, so it's a good way of checking you've not missed any new posts!

Hiya. Glad to hear I'm not "special"

Irritation rather than issue. Just makes it a little more "involving" trying to stay up to date with what's going on
