Thanks! Been meaning to post for a while.   Reading  @Jamie R  Rotus build and some downtime over Xmas helped get my act together

Well not quite on the same scale as @Jamie R  but to start the new year I treated her to a little new fibreglass . I managed to track down a genuine Border vented headlight cover . Nothing fits particularly well (she's a little rough around the edges like her owner ) so it doesn't look out of place bolted in place as-is.  I like the look and every bit of air flow counts !!

Lol. I'm happy with it too. Despite it being widely acknowledged that modern torches are brighter than 7 headlights I'm sticking with pop-ups!

Its the "winging it" which gives me the push to have a go - even if its simply un/re bolting stuff

Everyone should give something a go.

There's nothing to lose, if it costs money and it doesn't work, it's just money. If it costs you time it's a lesson learned regardless of whether it works or not.

If it works it could inspire someone else.

Just remember every day is a school day

Keep going

Well I finally got around to fitting the shift collar. Switched to an RE-A short shift a little while ago but missed one crucial part .... oops . Never quite found the time to get around to do such a small job... until now - thank you lockdown! All feels far more solid and tighter now Happy dayz even if you can't see anything different.

Wow was my last post back in January?!? Where has this year gone already...

Well been doing a little parts collecting and a bit of slow tinkering has been going on. Managed to source myself a HKS twin spark, FC-Datalogit, Billetworkz heavyweight shift knob, KTS Engine damper from Japan, a headlight surround in better nic than my existing one and some of those clips to stop my centre console popping off!
Headlight surround swapped, engine damper installed and managed to find somewhere to mount the twin spark that looks vaguely planned rather than an afterthought Now all I need to do is get my hand into the smallest space known to man and split the coil pack plug and plug the harness in !!
Now if we could just have some nice weather......

Thanks Malcom, I'm now just debating whether to unbolt the intake elbow for easier access or see if swearing at everything in my way makes it easier to plug in

Well, I managed to find enough time to get the 7 out of the garage, find enough room for my hands under the power steering reservoir to plug in the Twin Spark and take her for a quick drive for a full tank of V-Power with a dash of Protek-R

I think this is possibly the first time I simply jumped in (after the customary fluid checks ) and drove her with nothing new failing or breaking . Even my misses was surprised not to get a rescue call !!

Couldn't resist taking a few cheeky pix too - you know your car is pretty when you can't stop looking back for a quick !!

Next job is getting the MOT done. nothing to fear given she's pretty much gone nowhere due to lockdown but she is a 7 so nothing is certain ......
