hi
i have no work   not much going on in the sign and exhibition industry right now   but the upside of that is i have lots of time to spend in the workshop lol

baloo

i think im going to let this section into the front bulkhead so that access to the engine/ bellhousing is as good as it could be

thanks boosted  i should be on the wiring in a couple of weeks or so  will give you a shout...   i did play with an mx5  and was going to make a chassis but in the end just chopped everything i dident need  to make it run  off it,  got quite luverly with the lack of weight,  trying to keep it out of the herbaceous border and on the lawn was  testing indeed

but i think the rx8 will be in a whole new league

how strange is it that the welding gas always runs out on a sunday morning when you cant go get a refill   :dontknow:
so that slowed things up a bit,  well a lot really but hey hoe its the way it is,   i cut a few pieces and tacked then in place and made some floor templates out of plywood so as when the time comes to make the real ones i have something to draw round   :13:

Those piccies show how far back mazda placed the engine.

hello boys

can anyone tell me what the standard spring rates are front and rear ?    i have 2 broken coil springs and i may as well convert  the shocks to coil over so i can fiddle with the ride height,  ive done plenty of front struts     but never a rear    any reason it wont work on the  rear shocks  ?

baloo

where is the best place to buy mazda parts ?  i need top and bottom radiator hoses,  the two oil cooler pipes the run from the engine and 4 rear wheel bearing retaining circlips,  do i just got to my nearest Mazda main agent or are here online suppliers around ?

dident get time to work on it at the weekend  but this afternoon i did  :13:,   tube bending is always a mystery to me,  sizes never seem to come out as intended  but i got there in the end  after countless attempts lol

baloo

just playing around with the tube  no real design  yet

standard rx8 rear silencer will fit at the back with a bit of modification me thinks

Mr Spiller

Nice work
Very neat
Regarding wheels that wide maybe an idea to also keep an eye out for 17's
