Right, no real progress until today. Been waiting for so many little bits to arrive but everything is taking ages to arrive.
Painted the fuel cover wing nuts and seat belt hooks.
I've ordered a narrow seat for the passenger side from kit car direct so waiting for that to be made and arrive.

Decided to tidy up the passenger footwell wiring. Removed the fire extinguisher and plumbing, this will be going back in but want to relocate it somewhere else. Battery will go in between the passengers legs infant of the seat on its side as its the only way to keep legroom. Picture was just me trying it on drivers side to check it would fit.
Took the dash out to paint the rest of the cage and make painting all the footwell area easier, plus lift fuse box back up higher behind the dash as its dropped down.
Dash out and wrap stripped now, going to wrap again in a gloss carbon which I'm still waiting to arrive.
Wife bringing me lunch, she must have been in a good mood
New mud guard from playskool arrived as the near side one is cracked. Now looks nicer than the offside one so I've ordered another so they are both nice and shiny   debating wether to drill and fix these as they were of tigers tigerseal on as will look neater.
Against all the advice I've made a number plate bracket out of sheet aluminium and mounted below the nose. I like it but can always take it off and put it back on top. vintage plates look cool but not sure they will stay due to legality issues.
Waiting on some black mesh grill sheet to arrive, tried the stuff I received a few weeks ago but I'm not overly keen. Oh and I've taken out the blue round suborder style surrounds and used edge trim to tidy up the cut outs on the nose.
Debated cutting it all out and having a second thin grill running the length of the nose but holding fire on this. Will mesh behind this bit when the new grill arrives to match the nose

Cut my bloody ankle open on the number plate so chucked a bit of trim round there as well

Today I set about making a new top piece for the tunnel. Bought some sheet carbon effect stuff from Playskool for 20 quid, got some edge trim for the sides and think it looks pretty darn good for under £25 all in.
Also sprayed the gearbox surround and lever black today, helps finish it off.

Oh and ordered 4 new 205/60/13 r888r's from tiger racing for just a smidge under £400 which I thought was pretty decent. Going to use the 13" team dynamic wheels for the road with the r888r's and sell theb15" team dynamics. Then I just need to buy 2x front 8j minilite's to match the rear and get some slicks. Then ill have 9j rear and 8j front minilites with slicks for track.

She's never happy I'm in the garage Jon. Normally because I say I'm popping to the garage to do something quickly, I'll only be 15 mins.....4 hours later

That’s a default setting !

My Emma has become accustomed to being a shed widow.

But we all have different priorities. You have kiddy winkles were mine is in his 20s.

Emma moans from time to time, but I get grumpy when I’m not in the shed being “artistic” so she sees the benefit hahaha

I made her day today buying her flowers and a lemon cheesecake. Woot

Power is nothing without control. Weight is enemy of performance, handling and braking.

Thanks all.

Quick question  does anyone know anywhere that sells a premade Westfield narrow grill?

Like this - https://parts.westfield-sportscars.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=265

I've received the grill mesh today and its crap. All rolled up and just cheap horrible stuff. The plastic stuff I bought previously doesn't seem in keeping with the car so don't want to fit that

Ggrrr, just want the nose finished

I don’t wanna state the obvious, or sound like a plank, but you shared a link that sells the part you want....

.... or am I getting it wrong ???
