Well im at a loss all thing seem ok...
I filled the drinks bottle with water 2/3rd...cable tied the pipe in 2/3rd depth...
Few drives and left well alone ....so 2 heat cycles today....on inspection cold removing cap about an inch lower than normal but just covering sensor....1/3 left in plastic bottle expansion tank...so its drawing it back in as cooling down...result....so is my expansion tank ok...suck on pipe horrible mouthful of coolant....so now back on there.
Conclusion...airlock...wrongly diagnosed rad cap ..spare no good mx5 not compaitable...

Massive own goal. Engine lives...enjoying it being daily such an occasion.

Well took to work today...epic this morning...desolate A road...didnt go above
!30mph...
Checked the coolant b4 coming home..ok..fire up no alarm..drove home.
Check tomoz b4 work rinse and repeat.
Ive noticed that its sitting lower in tower than normal that vexxed me abit until i realised ive been parking on the flat not my sloppy drive way so parked up overnight on drive and see where level is tomoz. Fingers x.

They can leak past the coolant seals on the irons. Irons corrode.
Rx8 kind of fixed the issue as the seals are on the housings

Still not convinced coolant seal as display no symptons.
Looks just the Eunos for tomoz i just cant risk it using all its coolant and boiling up on way...
Maybe eunos and Battle wagon wrx...lol

Just popped out of work to check car....its used what i topped up this morning....raaaa...
No drips no wet areas checked throttlebody, waterpump, turbo feed rad rad pipes...dry as a bone.
Looks like ill be be using pressure tester i borrowed monday me thinks.
Oh well only 1 car to clean after work.

Lol...you aint see my wagon....its beat up...big time. Prob save the fuel money for rebuild lol and have a nice cruise in the little eunos....i drive there mrs back few beers in chiller in boot...lol.

Monday ill pressure check it and look again for an external leak, but its not looking good...
Bottle test other day was good no passing running....champayne test good too...
Tis strange....recently tensioned waterpump belt....slacken that off check the witness hole for any dampness...lift the uim and check pipes at back of engine....
