Coolant in..top up rad with funnel...burping silicone pipes....then cap on...then gave it death down trading est...home to cool down..
Will the top up tomoz and go for a drive and see what happens.

Agreed.
The stones aren't even at the original site. Most people don't know they were relocated. There's another henge nearby which is better.

What? Relocated? Didnt know that...

Anyhoo, I liked Stone Henge. Yeah, it was expensive, but still...

But cruise from there, especially from Westbury to Bath was awesome, some really nice scenerys.

Right....maybe own goal....doh more fab today...

Silicone pipe from rad cap vent to water bottle...mx5 cap...constant stream of coolant running..
Spare cap same...
Original cap....nope....no leakage passed...
Shut off at 86deg C 5ml escaped....then seals up solid....

Other caps lost about 600ml.....

Perhaps i wrongly diagnosed cap and fittex duff....and mx5 not the same...

And maybe airlocked from coolant change...still air in system...purging its way out. Zero smoke from exhaust as per normal...

Ive been for a drive with few wot and 84deg C ...and nothing in plastic bottle...ive crawled all over engine looking for a weep nothing...carpet is not damp so no heater matrix issue.......
So...let it cool and see where level is...due to flush and refill yesterday expecting to top up.
Ive borrowed my mate pressure tester if needed....
Fingers x time....this engine has been mega tbh...
Time to clear up the premix spill in boot...#clutch kicking  and wire brush the decking....woohoo....

Rebuild....wash yer mouth out.....bringing that filthy language on to my fd post....lol

Aint had no rebuild in my time...previous owner did...maybe 10 years ago. ..

I did a coolant flush n change recently....and 1 again last night.....

It got comptest 2 year ago....not very good results awful in fact....
But she starts hot n cold and goes down the road like a scalded cat so until its broke lets see what this engine can do.
Back to oiling the decking in my pants...

Ok til i done a coolant refresh...was on water as repaired a perished hose...buzzer had gone off b4 prom...but routinely shes used a small amount of coolant top every few months when in use..500ml.
She used 4l on way to Thruxton...albeit stonehenge...defo the cap i put on...
Im waiting on a new cap from Clive and trip to Beauliue to test...ive been out short journey today and she needed a top up but coolant change yesterday....may go out later...1hr run come home cool and see if used any coolant....but i also may sit with cold 1 or 3 on my freshly oiled decking...well 90% ran out of oil.

I’ve topped up today, I had a bottle of red in the hot tub, then my third nap.

They have a 18 hole golf course where we are at. I don’t care for golf, but Emma did walk around with me up and down hills unaided of crutches. Her coordination is improving by the day.

She was so upset yesterday, told her off for “going on google”
