Lol @ shoes

:sign0098: well done clever clogs, they're the outlet ducts / mounts for the oil coolers.

I know the size I need big end and the small end is 20% of the surface area of the big end to help the air speed up.

I know the length, and the convergence angle........

Easiest way I could think to make them was to make the volumetric shape of the inside where the air travels.

Sand all the rads in, smear it in filler, sand, prime, sand, wax, gel coat, GRP and voila, push the polystyrene out and I have a left and right hand finished product, no moulds required, the inside  surface is nice n smooth.

Sorry Guys,

The silence is killing me, I need to post summat even if its trivial.

Started the flat aluminium floor today, first piece in.

There will be a total of 6 aluminum sections for ease of fitment/removal and then the GRP splitter and diffuser.

The bent edges allow an easy join to the side sections, but "hopefully" the bottom edge of the vertical sections will create a vortex.

This should help prevent air rushing underneath from the sides and disrupting a 700mm wide channel of high velocity low pressure air which runs the entire length of the car.

Fingers crossed, but it can all go horribly wrong. Ive never designed and built aero like this.  Ive done research on this its kinda thing past few months i need to stop being indecisive and flitting between different theories.

Build it, try it, test it.

If at first you dont succeed, suck some more seed !

Good to see more  Rotus action  :great:

Just an observation as im no aero expert, but with the flat floor you have built, I think for stability you will  a rear diffuser.

Also don't  cover your gear box an diff from air flow as I know somebody who did this with his FD and had sensors fitted and found he was frying both units.

Hope this helps.
All the best Clive
