I fired mine by bridging and i remember it moved very quickly but that was the vacuum in the cannister so no idea what the value was...the pressures are in the manual...
I bridged so i coukd test whole system..my ssv fault was literally bad connection at soleniod plug..i squeezed the pins together and problem solved...
I just went though the elecy drawings looking for a vdi switch ...nope none there lol...
I had another rx8 engine loom so i just cut plug off and put 12v onit to test...
If your SSV wasnt working youd get a code...

Catch can fills up bloody quick. Might of figured the hesitation issue...
I leant me friend the car and don't think he checked the catch can properly.
It was basically full and pulling shit into the inlet

Mmmm. Is it all over maf? How bigs your catch tank? Should NOT really be filling it on the road! Oil level no more than 3/4 any more and the car will burp oil up filler neck..i dont get any now as i have gated sump.

There was a bit over it. Not a huge amount. I think it's gone into the engine and its had a hard time burning it off. It filled up the same before the engine rebuild.
And I don't think my oil cap is sealing properly

Before the gated sump i ran for abit vented to atmosphere so couldnt make a mess in inlet..

On the rx8 I broke for the engine the previous owner had vented it down near the subframe and EVERYTHING was rotten.
It put me off hence running it back into the inlet.
I've just read something about over filling out with oil and sucking in through oil filler tower.
I did have it overfilled.

Thing is on your fresh engine youll be getting minimal blowby, worn out old engine like my fd i get a fairbit...its actually an oil burp up the  oil filler on right handers caused by surge its a rotary thing..esp. on track...so 3/4  should stop it.

Thanks.

Just thinking about it I filled up in the dark and it was massively overfilled. Would explain it.
Going to take it for a test drive with the vac lines tested. I closed the pins up on the plugs also.

Not sure what it was exactly but seems to be fixed. No bogging under hard accelation.
Desperately need tyres, I know I keep saying that! Want to get matching alloys first before getting tyres and it's difficult to make my mind up on which ones I want!
