It's back on the floor. I've moved the coolant clip round a bit so hopefully that's fixed.
Roughly did tracking.
Don't know what to do with the front plate, be a shame to put it on the bumper!
Got to buy a battery and take her for a drive to bed the engine in. Going to limit revs to 4k on mazda edit to stop temptation

Power is nothing without control. Weight is enemy of performance, handling and braking.

Problem with french cars is you need 3 elbows and tiny hands to work on them...my 93 colt gti is so 205 esqe...had it 9 years never selling as not worth a bean unlike a 205 and its a hoot to drive.

Ha, true but mazda was still tricky in certain areas.
Anyone point me in the right direction of intermittent steering please?

Lock to lock to calibrate. Lubed the hell out of UJ. Clean up contact points on plug/socket on rack.

Could you elaborate on the lock to lock calibration please

Calibration after battery  change is literally lock to lock so it knows where it is. Light on dash will go out when its happy. The UJ is probably the culprit. Gets stiff needs a real good soaking in pentrating oil.
If the lights on theres a fault you need to scan .

It's literally a brand new component. I checked it before I installed it. Previous owner had it replaced.

IDS still won't connect grrr.... My obd reader isn't picking it up

Is a if the vcm2 isn't communicating with my car. I've spoke to mazda edit and they haven't got a clue. Bit of a coincidence after I read the ecu with mazda edit

Paul_13

Pulling my bloody hair out. Why won't it talk to IDS?! it was fine before connecting mazda edit.

Are the clocks coded to the ecu? Looking at getting a replacement ecu to narrow down issues. Going at things blind without IDS
