Clocks are not coded communicate via canbuss.
Have you looked at steering angle sensor ? Clock spring ...not much knowledge on the rx8 eps..Westy does not run it.

I had to replace the steering angle sensor as I smashed the first one, bought another off a mazda 6 (very slightly different) and then bought a rx8 one. Pretty happy it should be fine but I'll swap the actual sensor part for my old rx8 item.

Just had a thought about the abs/dsc fault, I thought I got away with taking the abs plug apart... Might of fudged something.

Had any one got a spare rx8 abs plug with a length of wires?

Also the hand brake light is lit, pretty sure I connected the cable however

Could try a call to Pete at Boston Rotary 07932 678556 keeps most things, or Lewis at LC Rotary.

Handbrake light will also be low brake fluid warning as well. Worth checking level sensor.  You added the yaw sensor behind arm rest? Part of dsc system?

Level sensor was fine before but I'll check. Hopefully there's no wiring differences between mx5 & rx8.
Yaw sensor is installed. I'm certain the plug is knackered, I had doubts at the time. Wish I would of changed it then.

Can bus is the whiteblue twisted pair...only 2 wires..check good connection and the tracer polarity. I.e tracer wire connected to tracer wire..the cables look the same subtle difference....and again missing feed or earth on the eps pcm.
Abs sensor or wiring damaged.

Brake light mysteriously sorted, or it will probably stay playing up which I start the engine.

ABS cable has a break in it on the passenger side. Explains that one. Anyone got a spare? :D

Checked the can bus line from EPS to ECU and that's fine... Might be an old fault

Looks like eps relay on battery tower?

It's the relay inside the EPS/ECU Box. I'm going to do a full check later of everything.
