Just had chance to watch your video. The car certainly sounds better, a very noticeable difference to. In the crispness of the sound in my
Opinion.

What BOV are you using? I'm not a fan of the noise it makes, lol. At least it's not one of this that have been designed to go "chuchuchuchu chu" lol

So how do you improve the chassis now that you have more power?

We get a better driver ;)

No seriously, this is the first time I have felt I've really got to drive the car, as it felt on the edge all the time :great:

Yes your right, car sounds real different, I bet if you heard the sound from a much earlier video it will sound like a completely different car.

Sooooooo, looking forward to Silverstone a week Sunday to see what I've really got under me.

Not a fan of blow off valves but Carl talked me into fitting one to release the pressure out of the Turbo, real lucky a friend had an unused but very old HKS ssq he promptly donated as a freebe.

What can be done too a car then once the power level surpasses the chassis? Obviously I'm guessing spending more money but what things would you do to make the car 'drive itself' again lol

Maybe a better way to describe the above is to say any driver on track worth his salt is always going to  drive a car on the edge and now I have more power I'm just finding the edge of grip quicker :)).

As for the car itself, over the winter I will look at how I can develop the car further, for one thing I will look at how to shed some weight as I know the car is very heavy and then start looking at the underside of the car, plus I will see what new MSA approved tyres appear over the winter.

Talking of tyres, I have already started looking at the new Nankang AR-1 as people seem to be raving about it, "but" on talking to a supplier I trust who tested this tyre against two other tyres he found it to be the slowest.

He asked me not to show it, but he had overlaid the three images around the track just like on a Grand Prix program and it proved what he found.

He is now staggered about the hype around the AR-1, just goes to show you can't believe all of what you read.

I have the feeling that I'm going to go all around the houses and then end up with the Yokohama's i'm already on !

Ah makes sense now.

I was thinking of along the lines of need more brakes, more grip and the sorts that going along with those things.

For example driving faster means getting to corners quicker means higher entry speeds, which would mean harder braking, which would maybe mean more weight transference too the front suspension etc etc

I know nowt about racing and setting up the car! Lol.

Everyone will be raving about that tyre because someone on the internets that's well thought of will have been paid lots of money too say they're good.

It's great to see your getting the most out of the chassis, but you know my feelings about the AR-1's, they look the job but that's all, they are very good road tyres and not bad in the wet. Are you not able to use slicks and or wets.

No I have to use MSA approved "road tyres" in Nippon, you are allowed proper racing slicks in the wet,

Not sure you would be allowed to use wets in the dry, besides they would only last 5 minutes before they died due to the rubber being much softer.

I would need to look at another series to run slicks but just about all other series ban Rotarys !!

Well that leaves you with the Yokohama tyre's, I do love the toyo r888r's for there ability to work from cold and in low temperatures but fear that "you would" cook them in a full race.

Yep, I agree, I think I may overheat them like this RX-3 did  ;)
