Had a sleep, Bottom and back in bits....forgot what aday in the seat of this thing does to the human body.....Even been go karting? and struggle to walk the next day....like that!!!! lol.

Well update....faultless all day....had a fill of catch tank as fill to max with my gated sump....pela'd to 2/3 no issues allday.

2 minor blips on track....got 2nd not 4th on an upshift....started to lock b4 clutch in...scary....

and after lunch Mark Funnel in his Championship Winning (spec GT)...said he'd followed me for a few laps and i got on it b4 slicks up to temp...bit of sideways action....anyways he followed for 3 laps then overtook me....i tried to stay intouch but was pulling away and after a lap was outta sight....it was the fastest id gone all day and really thought a quick lap but alas go poo didnt get it so it dont count....he was doing 1.12.

4th n 5th synchro...have started to snatch on fast shifts...

yoko a005 are awesome....didnt put the 9J....i reckon would rip the axle out in the corners ....on the 7j a005 i can feel movement squashing the metalastic bushings....yep prop uJ will rub tunnel alloy skin as very close...will check today its done it before and will be shiny if true....I suppose there only si much an old chassis will do...

i personally feel i couldnt drive it any faster...it is what it is....vids i got 1.18 when clear....

And on way home car got a soaking so got that to fix today...

Was alot of fun and seems all other issues are put to bed....my makeshift oil pressure switch set to 30psi did not trigger once on track..
Lots of comments about Flames and happy i only got overtaken once and by Mark...His supercharged Lotus exige does 1.08 in race trim!!!!

Running...was poor starting yesterday...which crank test was showing 160 rpm...anyway...2nd e shaft sensor...and good soaking with oil....getting a pulse on scan tool...not vatching due to slow cranking....battery drop tested...then found nut missing on starter main power connector...simples...

Well...running but not very happy...in fact shes brapping...850 to 950rpm hunt....( has a 1200 rpm idle)...got her hot...loads of steam from....exhaust wrap....fresh fuel as heavily premixing yesterday...letting cool....eyes are stinging so missing abit...so plugs n coils electrical plugs off etc....hoping toasty heat will dry it all out...loads of wd40...no water in my ecu box pheww!

Shes all good today...20 brake stomp...relearn....purring again at 1100rpm..( must have been 1100 not 1200 god my memory awful)..
But all good and happy now.

I wouldn't feel safe driving that, something about open cockpit would put a mental block on me going to fast. Do you have to have arm restraints with it being open?

Got arm restraints....left em at home...lol...ha ha...it makes some funny noises...groans to be precise at 130mph...didnt like it when i got 2nd not 4th that was the slide......far saver than doin 180 on a GSXR1000....played with suspension settings...best set up now slowy went harder til no feedback and back off a click.
Its huge fun.

So forget racing for awhile maybe in a few years...sit around paddock all day and get beat by bigger cheque book...
So trackdays is where its staying...with both cars...pick which 1 i fancy and maintain as we go...westy has been alot of hardwork but seems to be paying off now....and with rx8s so low in price  if i pop this engine buy another car and break again..
I may change my mind again ha ha ha but as for me track season finished this year me thinks crammed loads in as now 99% fit.....rotors wise not alot todo really to pair of them....both need fresh gearbox fluid so will do diffs at same time....and crack on with mx5 project and get a gearbox sourced and in the colt.
Keep on rotoring....
