Who's buying them though? All of them have had the knackeres thrashed and 75% of them have been bastardised and repaired on the cheap lol 1£16,000 someone asking for a 99 spec!!! Do you know what you can get for that money!!! Something bigger better and faster that's wgat

well i did another donut outside my house....and got some coolant dumped on my feet as a reward....

which at 92deg seemed a bit low....i have an alloy racing fabs header tank......13psi rated......

Be in contact with Nick (13black) over on rx8 club and he is modding my ecu via post n return...

goona bring my idle up to 1100 rpm and get my hot oil idle pressure up and few other tweaks omp inj rates ....currently running on my spare ecu (pcm).

swapped my wheels back as off to combe tomoz.... no track action just a day out.

In hindsight i dont think donuts are a good idea for airflow through the rad and ill wait n see what happens on track.

My fans tiny....faster i go cooler its gets...rx8s run hotter that you think....scan tool was at 208 F which is 97deg c...apparently fine 220 f is max for rx8 i read....i need airflow through the front and coming back from a blast being a hoonigan then doing 3 donuts basically with 1 wheel static.lol no airflow.
Temps been fine before...ill leave for now....and stop doing donuts outside my house before i take the fence out.

Well i seem to have a cooling issue to resolve....cap is lifting and dumping coolant....

on scan tool temp...fan is cutting in at 96degc exactly the same time cap lifts, once cooled cap seals again....its when in traffic not on the move as bombing along temps tumble to 86def c....

on my digi dash its running at 82 and venting at 92...but temp sensor in top hose so an offset of approx 6degC...and temp fluctuation as reading in diff place.

happy fan is ok as bringing temp down in about a minute....poss cap weak....13psi jobby.

always something to fix

Combe was good lovelly hot day, but got bored watching so came home.

im defo old, all the young uns seem to be sporting beards, polos stuck on the earlobes and face n neck tattoos....and that was just the girls!!!

Im just in the technical manual...
Plenty of coolant in there...no air
Suspecting cap no1 and poss thermostat as never had a large offset between digi dash n scan tool b4....plus these temps are the same for the other 2 engines...this is my 2nd cap the other got weak as well replaced that a good while back.
Thermstat doesnt fully open til 95degc so cap shouldnt be venting at 96degc...
After 8 ish laps its running at 92 digi dash and never spat coolant out before....ill get a new cap me thinks...try that n see. Aint usual type alloy racing fabs 1.
