Im running Rotary synonic, factory rev limit 9200 but change up at 9k, no thermal bypass pellet, FD pressure reg....runs at 100 psi. 25 psi when idling...oil never gets above 100 deg C.
New engine has thermal bypass pellet.
Blown engine has done some idling but far better than the 10 psi standard 1s run at. Both blown engines 1500 miles approx on it! Track use. Other bearing good. Need to strip front on this 1 but HR all good just the rear rotor bearings.

Monitoring via the digi dash.
Have no oil cooler thermostat but oil tends to heat fairly quickly.

This is a bit of a religious debate but my advice would be this... based on my experience.

10W30 is way too light for prolonged track use.  Move to a 40 as a min, you should well consider a 50..

Run a very high quality motorsport fully synthetic, I have good results using motul 300v competition in a 5w40 (remember sprinting is 90ish seconds) hence my recommendation to look at the 5w50 for circuit.  Just warm her up well and at low rpm and watch the pressure until hot.

were are you measuring the oil temp? Pre or post cooler?

I would like way more than 100psi over 8k for prolonged use,  I'm running 140psi.

Blimey how are you getting 140 psi?  Where do i get 1? ( press reg)Im measuring oil temp at sandwich plate so sump temp.
I was thinking about going fully syn....lol oil debate....run for the hills.
Thanks.

Do you have a working OMP system?  If not then fully synthetics are a no brainier. There argument over :)

If you are then the pros still out weigh the cons for me.  50k mile carbon ash buildup or added protection in a motorsport environment, you make your choices!

You can modify the rear to hold 140 and then shim or delete the front cover bypass, there are some options, with pros and cons :)

Maybe tea and a chat is in order to discuss, I'm happy to make the parts for you.

cool mate still working omp but had a thought on that to just return the oil to sump and premix as i do. This new street port has thermal bypass delete. Your running an oil thermostat ? i was going fit a mocal 1.

Nope, not needed for motorsport unless your oil temp is too low, in which case fit a smaller cooler.  Oil stat is just one more thing to fail...

Just warm her up well in the paddock at idle/low rpm, simples.

re japi

Hello Snowy!  ;D

Good progress! And good info about oil and stuff  :)
Power is nothing without control. Weight is enemy of performance, handling and braking.

new engine mounts a little higher.

re stat bearing pulled out as advised by Clive and a little rtv sealant  on cleaned mating surface.
garage is a mess.

and after discussions on RX8OC and Jonathons input switching to Millers 5w40 fully synthetic as cant find anything wrong with my mechanical setup so trying a different grade oil.  time will tell.
the way the bits are selling of the breaker looks like i may get a free engine anyway or a few hundred max  :P

I swapped flywheels as mine is in better nick and already bedded in with my clutch. This is not a problem is it?
