Yes mate ive tried my hardest i went out on 888 all good put the slicks on....dead in 2 laps.  No oil in catch tank....no idea whats gonna go in it but what with continually battling issues instead of driving time for summit else....

Dunno... bearings can go anytime? Itll cost me 2500 at least for a rebuilt engine with warranty else im chancing again...when the bridge failed there was no oil in catch tank....
Cant solve the issue time to move on.

Im speachless and sad...

But I agree with Grant, too much grip with slicks, she turns so hard. But I guess that bearings can go anytime... What kind of oil system that other rotary westy has?

This engine had a few miles onit and was taking 5 to 8 secs to start hot....but i was not expecting bearing failure...thats 2 bearing failures now.
The sump is mega and no oil alarms...the digi dash was sent away for update and has 2 low press oil alarm 25 and 10 psi....did not come on....thing is on a road going car you will never get the sustained high rpm pulls like im doing...i dunno nothings off the table for discussion atmo.....i could sell the lot or put summit else in it...
There where quite a few cars there yesterday and they where on slicks.....and no fancy dry sumps.
Im not pissy as i knew the engine was low comp its just the failure of bearings again which means it will happen again.
Lol ive sorted so many issues just running out of enthusiam for it.
Running Coltie yesterday afternoon put it all into perpestice ...no noise heat or surge issues...gave it a proper pasting and pretty much stayed out on track all afternoon....they had to wave the chequered flag to tell to me come in at end of day and not at anytime did i think it was going to let me down.

So if anybody interested to take the lot away including stripped Bridgeported engine..all 3 sets of wheels copius amounts of spares oil premix etc give me a shout...over 12k spent stopped counting year ago looking pretty much everything new. Any rx specialist could get engine in/out easier than an rx8.
Or buy Grants car and drop the bridge in...4500 take everything away.

What rpms were you holding it at? I'm just wondering if a lower diff ratio is better so that it isn't held at higher rpms for as long, bearing loads go up a hell of a lot when you have more rpms don't they? This is why people with turbos don't need to run higher rpms as you make more power lower down depending on turbo size etc
