Jon,
If I remember you need either a lot of lift (don't think you get enough with the gearbox fitted as it fouls the top of the tunnel), unless you have room to lift and move forward (remember to remove gear lever).
You can drop the sump down in the sub frame, but I think the pick up pipe fouls the sump and stops it coming out from the sub frame.
I supported gearbox and dropped the front sub fame down, but that required removing rack and suspension.

Cheers Chris....drat..its ball ache...its not dripping its just everytime i look at sump its covered in oil and oil all round sump join to block. MMMM decisions decisions....

Still in bits as had to order in new studs and aero nuts....changing the lot this time and new silicone hoses. Looked at single kits just cant justify the cost.

My sump joint leaks too.

Having done it on the other engine (sub frame off method) I can't muster the energy or interest to do it again

Well....completely leak free and no blow...and no smoke....but she is overboosting...got off the loud pedal sharpishish...ive checked all the vacuum lines and there secure....wondering wether the map now needs a tweak ?

Um, cant you just turn down the boost from apexi controller?

Cause if she needs remap, thats weird. Doesn't it basically mean that it has been mapped with boost leak?

Mapped at 14psi...its with very tentative throttle hitting 15psi...on the defi showed max 16 psi...think it needs a tweak.....had a actuator hose squat by inlet pipe but not issue.
Ill give Carl a bell...i like my apex tips inside my engine not my turbo lol.
