Got get the bstard off well checked the manual its full 8 bolt/nuts i got em all off. Its rocking on the studs 10mm .

Dunno if you need to lift the engine a bit to get clearance??

Hooked up on studs need prying will have it in a mo.

Don't snap them studs, reyt pain if you do

Off. Primary turbo stud bent hooking up on flange.
Got some nice pics. Lol.

Its only slight warped...about a 1mm lol....its the wastegate flange thats had a battering.
Shaft play ok. I had to summon thor to help me get it off. Got a broken twisted stud to get out.
Not to bad atall...skyline turbo was harder.

broke stud twisted so hanging up turbos..its started to move got some more magic spray onit.

dp got the start of a crack.

2nd turbo wastgate rattling abit.
so dp causing some noise and slight warp on primary intake turbine side.
hugely satisfying glad i had a go....think the hard parts the repair and refit.

That's defi a bit cracked! Much worth the piece of mind too port match it and open the waste gate. Makes things flow betterer

studs out manifold. irwin stud extractors are awesome..manifold still on gaskets look very good.....leave alone?

so turbo pack is slightly warped...primary turbo has some shaft play and secondary minimal...no smoke and creating boost fine....have spoke with Carl and i shouldnt be seeing defi bost gauge warning...its blinking ever so slightly at me. mapped at 14psi seems to be touching 15 occassional and tripping boost alarm....wastegate?

split a vacuum line as well and pill fell out just saw it out of the corner of my eye...phew.

WGT have new twin turbo packs....£2k

Don't waste 2k on new. You could get cheap eBay stuff and a good turbo for less.

Tart this one up if you have time, port it etc. Well worth it in my eyes

No intention of those wgt 1s...just concerned about those wastegate cracks?

Pretty much standard for an FD, even good condition second hand ones have cracks. Mine was like that but had none after ported out. See if there's any on eBay.
