Dartford Meet **Tuesday, 21 May 2019**

Mazda rotary enthusiasts have been invited to visit the new Mazda UK HQ offices, show room and heritage area before the monthly Dartford meet on Tuesday Feb 16th.

The address is Victory Way, Crossways, Dartford, Kent DA2 6DT - literally just round the corner from The Wharf where the meet happens - and they would like us to be there at 6pm until about 7.30pm.

"Currently we have the 1981 SPA 24hr winning RX-7 and a Mazda Cosmo sport in the heritage area"
[Edit - the Cosmo is having the engine refitted and may not be there]

There is no limit on numbers, so if anybody fancies a drive to come and join us, this is an unprecedented invitation and opportunity. :thumleft:

The meet at The Wharf will then happen as usual for anybody wishing to stay on later into the evening.

Real real shame more did not attend this at the Mazda HQ last night as it was a real nice surprise to find that inside the showroom they really are paying homage to the Rotary, with Rotary Videos and a gorgeous Rotary plaque honouring the 1967 Cosmo, even their conference room is called the Rotary room.

Reading between the lines after talking to the three Mazda UK guys who were not only super friendly but also had clearly given up their "going home time" to make this happen, this morning I find myself encouraged that there does indeed look as though another Rotary is on the horizon.

One gem came out, in that the fantastic 2015 RX Concept car has been awarded Concept car of the year, which hopefully encourages Mazda even more to bring the Rotary back  .

Really nice that these Mazda UK guys were real car enthusiasts even getting me to position the RX-4 for their own pictures.

There is already talk of this happening again in the summer which should give those who missed this an opportunity to attend
