Engine low comp?

back to basics tomoz...pull the sparks. take the non gen coil off doing the rpm and fit a used gen. full reset. take for motorway cruise....and see whats what. no joy then comp test time.

Heres a question.....can you have a low comp top end misfire but starts fine hot? I know im getting fuel and plenty of it..flames aplenty....vexxed bigtime....

Gone from 65psi to 100psi.

If you now have no error codes its now a process of elimination, i would start by looking at then changing plugs first

Its very weird...plugs leads coils maf all from race engine and new and no issues on that. Had no issues on this spare when last used....the gremlins have snuck in the garage and twiddled with everything. It was fine after i changed the coil plug . Maf gone bad since and now this horrible misfire occurs at 7000 plus.
Gonna go for a cruise in her to log some fuel trims and maybe a code. If not then carpet bombing, swapping the top of the engine with the other 1 and engine loom and evicting the pesky gremlin.

If theres no error codes, problem is mechanical, right? So its not maf then...?

Had a p0171 code...lean fuel condition as wrong reading from maf...not lean infact but ecu being told wrong airflow reading...that was the stutter b4 6k...now on load i have a misfire 7k above....so need to drive it so ecu can hopefully pop a code to point me in right direction....gonna head to motorway so can varry revs and load.

Could be but seems more sparky tome as flames and bangs...will get swapped out with manfiold.

Got let off so no prob. Just got back...its still there....went for a bit...defo spark related..gonna change the engine loom after it cools...so much fun woke me up.
