Looks very snug fit. :) But isnt that heat problem with every similar Lotus type cars...?

Its actually quite impressive how quiet it is. 98db isnt bad. Expecially with so compact and light system

Am very happy with exhaust. not cheap but defo fit for purpose...as you get older you want power without the noise!

Wear ear plugs if you want power without noise

When are you going to the dyno? Hopefully pick mine up Friday and get it dynod ASAP.

I read something the other day that an rx8 weighs 3000lbs??!!

Torque developments in Salisbury done the exhaust...only found out recently that he used to work for Janspeed so knows his beans.

not a light car Grant! but remember you take the GF and the child!. When you first get you may be a little disappointed if used to turbo power....you gotta use the revs! Im off to Newbury sat! not to Haywards though.

Yes, that is true. And if system is too complicated, its usually heavy too. Seems like my bro´s cars system needs to be redone. That rotary Starlet at our rallycross series uses one big muffler with straight system and its only 104db. And I bet it weights half of my brothers system...

Lol, I bet you are standing at hot coals now, cant wait...? ;)

Yes, rx8 really is a big lady. And what I have talked to people, its really hard to get weight to 1100kg/2400lbs...

I'm quite impressed with how quiet you have the car, however the side exhausts if the renesis help a lot with noise reduction compared to a peripheral exhaust as the apex seal does not open the exhaust port, as this action creates a loud crack on peripheral exhausts. I wonder how loud it would be with a different motor??

Even though the rx8 is big, both Clive and Carl have said they out perform 500hp FDs on the track as they're so much better through the corners, later braking, better turn in and carries much more speed through the corner??

First upgrade I will be doing to the 8 is tyres and also suspension. As want to throw the car around on weekends

Apologies for cluttering your thread Boosted. I'm just a little excited now.

The silencer is 9"diameter!  The brief to the exhaust guy was 100dB at 7500 rpm. It is big ! But not that heavy.
Well digi dash out and sent away fingers x its repairable else £500 notes for a new 1!  Took apart and no water ingress or burnt out components so hopefully they can repair as outta warranty.
