Great stuff, let\'s hope it\'s dry so you can really try her out tomorrow. Great service from the alignment guy to be on hand to tweak :Thumbs-up

That really is a good service!!! Good luck! :)
Power is nothing without control. Weight is enemy of performance, handling and braking.

I got a good vid for you re japi!    I binned it ! BUT...show me a fisherman that never gets wet!   Car was flyin!

Its not want i intended and still dont now why she let go....but vid will show it.

I gotta pull the engine n box and get and acroprop in there to straighten the chassis .

bit banged up...head ache and sore neck.

Anyways ill sort the vid and you can all call me a muppet.

car had no issues pulling like a freight train....i think im asking to much of live axle ????

was a good rush.

Well i\'ll post vid up when its done processing!.....15 years of going round combe it had to happen sooner or later but looking at the onboard i have no idea what happened!

Id done all the braking and was turning into the esses. Car just stepped out to right from rear ! interestingly though i got hot coolant all over my feet when i came to a halt ? But temp of coolant below 100 as not alarming? No rad pipes damaged in crash so maybe forced some coolant out onto track ?

Hello smiffers! I see you reading!  I used about 5 litres of fuel a session!

so plan now pull engine and box and remove panels...then its acroprop time over on Track developments jig. Rear axle has moved over 10mm...panhard rod bent.
Top chassis rail bent in 20mm...glory of kitcar is only box section...bit of bending, bit of welding do it all again.

happy to report engine and ancillaries all ok. rear arch is cracked but belt of fibreglass and good as new. Cracked my seat.

She drove onto trailer.

If id damaged that awesome rotary engine i would be besides my self.

theres bound to be more hidden horrors learking in there!

BUT check out the laptimes !

Eh! what\'s actual happened!!  there\'s big wide space then big oversteer!
sound like wrong alignment/balance....or brake too hard and turn in too early

boosted

No idea mate! on the transition between brakes and throttle. Happened so fast got some lock in but i never got to the brake pedal! Coolant came down on my feet as soon as i switched off ? but not surprising switching off without a cool down period. But coolant was in check as have alarm for 100 deg C. Thing is its live axle so not alot you can do on rear! On the alignment everything focus\'d on front end  2.5 deg of camber slight bit of toe out.
It basically just let go. had no indication prior but i did spin earlier in day but that was my fault. Prob never know!

Gutting, at least you\'re ok and the car had some speed in the previous laps!

The only thing I did notice from your footage was that in previous laps you were either held up in traffic through that corner or you had the chance to stay to the left all the way up to it.

You overtook the white car on the right, moved across to the left to get the line and then started turning right into the corner. It looked like there was a height difference of tarmac (lower on the left side of the track) where you had the incident. Maybe that unsettled the car as you turned in?

Watched the vid about 40 times and cant fathom it out ! No clunk from rear no squeal. No lock up. theres no coolant haze from bonnet! Slicks went off????

hay ho its done now and happy i built a blistering quick car. Don\'t think much racing for the time being got a lot on elsewhere! Ill get out in the garage tomorrow and lever bar the rear suspension links and see whats what!

Wife has banned me from driving her R3! lol:Hammer:rollin:driving
