Smoking today! Now all the crap is cut out i can seperate components down and label them all up. i.e maf 6 cables cut label at fuse box feed. label at ends Ecu labelled ready for resolder once length determined! Done so far for diagnostic port, Maf, Throttle, brake, clutch and can bus data link!.( can bus only required for diag port keyless entry and ecu so have removed metres and 4 connectors), Gonna rewire indicators seperate from ecu and rx8 wiring as just spagetti!...Brain warning up for Fuel pump and relays resistor etc.

Unsure if gonna retain main fuse box or buy a led circuit breaker type but relay box is staying...Can simplify by having 1 or 2  fuses for eng control fed from ignition (via ecu) 1 bespoke fuse for fuel pump etc. Short weekend due to having hol cancelled for sunday night so gotta crack on as in "The Zone".

Still waiting on engine. Hopefully ready soon. Need it in about 2 weeks tops. Got a weeks holiday to put it all back together!

My brain is fried was going really well, but got some black box wired in with ignition relay and goes no where...cant find it on drawings :Hammer

Headlight auto levelling used to power indicators ....fed from ign relay....doh...its getting stamped on!

Back on track, Colour change of ignition relay feed....raaa...nearly didnt have any coil voltage!. quiting in a mo....go and help with house work...!

Made excellent progress today. Pretty much all redundant cut out, chased my tail on the ignition coil feed but brain clicked once i back tracked. All laid out ready for soldering.

Ha ha ! Wookie checking my work!  If the ecu billows out smoke he will get the blame! Really glad ive commited to doing it learnt alot about the wiring and it was a mess. Just hope it starts and runs. Should do triple checked everything!  Got a lot todo still.
