All done, photos to follow! Found driver floor is steel/ alloy sandwich so good for safety. Weld on cage scrutineer picked up done and a steering anchor my mate spotted was about to break leaving no steering!

Next installment sat....last night shift tonight and then day of sleep. Interview friday and then loom out. Car needs pushing outside and good jetwash. Dust and oil all over it.

Slow progress this weekend not in "the zone" . Got the neighbours rx8 sorted with new leads sparks and coils saturday we took it out first him driving then me....in 4 years of ownership he had never heard the revs buzzer! Cataclean required for it now! and he needs clean underpants! then diy took over.:mad:

Sunday got the gearbox in but just to close on drivers side to new brace so i cut it out! :2Rolleyes

Solenoid connection is very close on passenger side so having a think so knocked it on the head and went for an afternoon stroll along canal and a swift pint. lol:guinness

On 2-10 so will put a few hours in each day, goona fab a drivers side brace whilst gb in so i know i have decent clearance.

Day off today as hospital appointment so got stuck in in the morning.

Cut floor and riveted to tunnel. Some re riveting of rear diffuser.

Measured up replacement infill alloy panels and ordered.

Went to Merlin Motorsport and got a nice braided clutch line made nipple too short but good excuse to got back !

Also got some new coolant hose couplers as NO bead on the ones ive removed!

Put a blank in gearbox reverse switch.

Got the loom out today, original lighting loom digi dash and rx8 loom all splice in together.

Plan now to separate and cut redundant wiring out.

Plan now is cut a new dash panel from perspex or macralon...there are carbon 1s available but we\'ve been cutting new and fittingguards at work so there\'s lots of it in the skip! Plus if its clear i can see my wiring lol and tell tale led fuses.

I will move digi dash to infront of steering wheel and all switches instruments more driver orientated. Fuse box and ecu behind dash.

Now the loom is out i can reverse engineer it and work out what can be cut out and hopefully with the aid of the electrical drawings get down to about 6 fuses and about 4 relays...hopefully!

Car is still using key start ....with immobiliser....think ive sussed a way round but not 100% decided wether to keep yet.
