Many thanks for the times, Malcolm also found them very interesting, plus it  shows you get your Colt around Coombe OK as I run 25\'s with the road RX-8, (hopefully we can clip that by 10seconds with the race car)  

As for progress its sadly come to a virtual halt again,

I am desperately trying to keep things going forward with lots of visits to Brise fabrication for various "adjustments" with the intercooler etc with another tomorrow which should mean I can finally connect the intercooler to the engine properly.

Finally it looks like I have the wiring answers I needed to integrate the Adaptronic to the stock ECU to run the REW engine, even the huge  RX8Club forum in the states was stumped by my questions but happily it looks like one of the Adatronic guys has come up with a helpful response direct.

Just about the only other thing is that I have had the cat Zircoted to stop the body work melting, the turbo and down pipe will be Zircoted when complete.

After explaining that the silencer came from America and the 100 cell 4" cat came from Australia and would be difficult to replace if lost, the nice MD personally collected and returned it for me

No Race Car progress to report I\'m afraid, however, I did go to Brands yesterday and watched one race before I needed to leave.

I spoke to the series organiser Steve Vince, who reading between the lines is happy that another type of car will be out with them next year as its not yet another Subaru.

He did however reaffirm what some of the drivers said to me last time I attended in that the Rotary has a bad name in the series, i.e. once again I was told the story that two RX-7\'s have competed in the past and they blew up on every other race !!!!!!!!!!, this is why we need to get this out trackdaying to get reliability as well as find some pace.

As for the Race, that had 37 starters, I found that the leaders circulate in the 55\'s bracket which is an expected around a second faster than last year,

"apparently" my road RX-8 with stock engine circulated in high 59\'s in traffic so hopefully 55\'s is do\'able .

Couple of things, one showed a graphic example of development with Skyline that started the first race and eventually won from Martin Short\'s Subaru who is the guy building a big money RX-8 on another thread here on MRC.

The reason I say  "graphic example of development" was because a year ago the Skyline was an ill handling car running in the mid field but good on the guy he has turned this monstrously bad car into a winner, flip side is I was told that a 200ZX that was winning last year has now been "developed" into a 4th  and 5th placed car.

Talking to the organiser it has reaffirmed that I picked the right series because it was made clear that in the sprit of the rules, should a zillion dollar car or a car with big power turn up then it will be turned away, and apparently they have done just this before.

Lastly, I also came away with the observation that a stock engined 192 RX-8 just stripped to the regs with a cage fitted should do very very well in the GT200 class, also with stock engined RX-7\'s fitting the GT300 class nicely, so hopefully realising this will maybe get some more Rotarys out there in what I think is one of the very cheapest series out there.

First up huge thanks to Jon (Boosted) for organising much needed additional sponsorship for the race car and many thanks for the donations guys.

There are still things to buy for the car so I will put this money toward something needed then show you what your monies were spent on.

I will also get an additional seat fitted so I can take you around the track in the race car with your names on during trackdays while testing :Thumbsup!

We now have the car back in Powergains and it will now only come out as an up n running race car to "hopefully" be seen on its first full testing session at Goodwood at the end of the month (all being well) .

As you can see we now have a fully ported manifold nearing completion then its off to Zircotec for coating along with the down pipe and Turbo housing.
