Its the girlfriends birthday that day, don\'t think she\'d be too impressed if i dragged her kicking and screaming to a car show lol.

Quote from: Lisa;850872Don\'t forget this is a free day out for full club members and those with family membership as MRC will pay your entrance fee.

Do we need to do anything to benefit from this offer?  I\'m a full member and I am going :)

And do we just turn up with a rotary-powered car and we\'ll be directed into the show?

Sorry if I\'m missing the obvious here.

Sounds like the museum opens at 10am normally, is that when other people are thinking of getting there, or more like lunchtime?

Don\'t worry Lisa will have a list at the gate to tell her who is a full club member.

Real pleased to see you and the others coming along as this thread was in danger of becoming an I not coming thread, for whatever reason :o

This is an excellent day out be it rain or shine with huge amounts to see at the true home of world motor racing no matter what your interest, i.e. cars bikes, areoplanes etc, plus we are the only Japanese car club to be allowed to stage an event there:cool.

It will be a sad loss to our community if we lose venue this due to lack of numbers.

Don\'t forget this is open to members and non members alike with all being welcome
All the best Clive

I can whole-heartedly recommend this event to others. Having attended most of these events for several years, I have always enjoyed them immensely. The combination of rotary cars and their owners, the HUGE history, both car and aircraft at the Brooklands site makes for a brilliant day out for individuals and families. There is so much to see that, in all the years I\'ve been going, I\'ve still not been able to get over to "Mercedes World" (adjacent to Brooklands). In talking to other rotary car owners, visiting the numerous Brooklands exhibits, photos of cars on the legendary banking, etc, the day just flies ;) by!

Gutted many RX-8 owners can\'t make it this year due to a clash with the RX8OC AGM. So much to see, a PRIME parking spot and FREE entry for MRC members. It doesn\'t get much better for car (or plane) enthusiasts day out :)

Surely the RX8 owners can drop in to Brooklands on their way to or from the AGM? :D

:Giggle Good idea Brett, but the AGM is in Lincolnshire! Most people are staying o/night at a hotel as there is an "Annual Meet" on the Saturday, involving a trackday for some at Blyton Park :), and an evening meal at the hotel the night before the AGM. By the time we finish on Sunday and drive down to Brooklands I think the gates will be closed!

I`m really gealous to you guys, your motorsports season is much longer than ours! :) We still have very cold temperatures and lots of snow... :(
Power is nothing without control. Weight is enemy of performance, handling and braking.
