***TRACKDAY - Oulton Park, Friday 22nd July***

Having just had a fantastic few days in good company at Cadwell Park I\'m eager to get the next event in the calendar sorted asap - Oulton Park on Friday, 22nd July !

Full details will be up later as I\'m away this weekend, but for anyone planning to stay overnight for this trackday I\'d urge you to get accommodation sorted asap as I\'ve been looking around and a lot of places are full, or only have 1 or 2 rooms left! I tried "The Swan" at Tarporley, which some of us looked at last year. It looked very nice, but it\'s £85/night B&B............

I have done a lot of research and I have booked in here - Sandhurst Hotel, Middlewich. It\'s a small, family run hotel about 9 miles from the circuit, with secure parking and really good reviews. It only has 10 rooms of which 8 are currently available. I\'ve bagged one for two nights; 21, 22 July, leaving seven available. The rate is £59.50/night for a single, B&B. If you want to book a room, don\'t hang about, as the rooms in the area are disappearing fast!. Call the hotel on 01606 834125 and book direct (I spoke to Rowena) -please mention "ROTARY" to Rowena  .

There are a few very small B&B\'s at cheaper prices, but not enough rooms to accommodate the likely numbers. I\'ll fully understand if you want to "break away" and find a lower budget place, or want the luxury of "The Swan"  

Circuitdays have this trackday on their website for £229. I\'ve managed to negotiate £210 if we can take 10 or more places. FULL MRC Members can also take advantage of a further £20 discount, bringing the cost down by 17% to £190. We are also happy to offer MRC Guest Members a discounted price of £219.

This circuit is one of the more expensive in the UK (and well worth it!); free tuition for novices is available at no extra charge (worth ~£25).

Get your hotel booking done asap (if you need o/night accommodation), pay for your place in the MRC Shop and post up to let us know you are coming along.

Excellent, we are getting there, but need some more takers to join in the fun to get to the minimum of 10 takers to qualify for the discount!

This is an awesome track at a great price for this time of the year. On a Friday too, so it can be a great start to a long weekend!

There must be some more RX-7 owners who\'d like to do this, at the moment it\'s 4 RX-8\'s, one FD and one FC!

More RX-8\'s are also welcome - FB\'s too !

I\'m in for this event. Tried to book the hotel three times from California, but they failed to call me back.

Just got this via email form Circuitdays. Not sure if many of you will get this as I don\'t have everyone\'s email address, so please check this through carefully.

Dear Malcolm,

Many thanks for choosing to attend the Oulton Park track day event on the 22 July 2011. This final instruction should contain everything you will need to know for the event.

Itinerary
Signing On 7.30

The event will be run in open pit lane format.

Please ensure you read and adhere to the 7 point checklist below before commencing your journey to the circuit:

1) Bring your driving license - both the plastic and paper parts (please note that an MSA race license is not an acceptable substitute)
2) Make sure your car complies with any noise restrictions at the venue (105dB static)
3) Ensure your car is fit for the purpose intended; this includes brake, tyre, suspension and steering checks
4) Fit your towing-eye prior to joining the circuit
5) Bring suitable clothing as covered arms & legs are required at all times on the track
6) Slicks are not permitted on cars without adequate rollover protection
7) No hand-held cameras are permitted - any cameras need to be securely mounted in the car

Additional Requirements

The primary requirements are that all drivers and passengers read and complete a Track Day Declaration and Indemnity form (download link available at the bottom of this confirmation or in the sign on office at the circuit) and that anyone going out onto the circuit wears a helmet. Helmets are available to hire at £10 per day.

There will be a compulsory safety briefing at 8:30AM. There will be another briefing 1 hour later.

Additional Drivers and Passengers

We do not charge for passengers or additional drivers (4 of each maximum). All drivers and passengers have to read and complete the Track Day Declaration and Indemnity before going out onto the circuit. Spectators are welcome. Children under 16 years are not allowed onto the circuit.

Directions
From the North: Approaching using the M6 southbound and come off at junction19. Take the A556 towards Chester and follow for approx. 10 miles. Turn left on to the A49 and follow singage to the circuit. Oulton Park Circuit Little Budworth, Tarporley, Cheshire, CW6 9BW.

Petrol
Fuel is available at the circuit.

£30 to book in advance. Please email to reserve.

Tuition
A free 20 minute tuition session will be made available for novices (slots allocated at signing on). Further tuition is available at £25 for an additional 20 minute session, £150 for a half day and £250 for the full day. Please book in advance.

Photography
Xtreme Sports Photography will be present throughout the day. Please contact Nick on 0778 8825 952 for any specific requirements and to order CD\'s/prints.

Insurance
Contact REIS Insurance Management on 0115 985 0165 for track day insurance cover. Mention you are doing a Circuit Days event and that we are ATDO members (note track day insurance is not mandatory to participate).
