I hope some1 can either verify/disprove me, im by now means an expert...  But i\'m fairly sure its not an RS, \'cause afaik they are like hens teeth... at least from that age...

I just need to find some real geeky person who knows RX7\'s inside and out and knows more about the car than I do lol. You know one of these anorak people who probably have all the chassis numbers listed in order of which they were made and where in the world they are now lol.

Btw just to compare cars as you think yours is the same model as mine if I list the things my car has to see if yours is the same in every aspect although Im not sure if this is also standard equipment on all RX\'s

ABS
Power Steering
Previous owner said storage cubby holes in the centre console and drivers door are quite rare so do you have those?
Electric windows including driver side auto one touch button
Air con
Wiper time delay adjust
Its the hard top so no sunroof
standard wheels according to driver side door shut would have been 16"
Central locking But now I have remote central locking and cat 1 alarm
dial to adjust brightness of dash lights
erm dont know what else to list. But I imagine most of that is standard equipment on all of em anyways.

All 3rd generation RX7s are \'efini\', its not a model really, I think it just means its from the \'sports car\' department of Mazda.

Do you have twin oil coolers? If so just tell Sky its a Type R. It makes bugger all difference to your insurance premium anyway so wouldn\'t worry about it. Its not like other cars where there are power differences between models, etc and its an import group 20+ so can\'t get any higher.

Dehs

Actually, there is a difference of 20 horsepower between the models, and the insurance companies do alter the price depending on the type, as some types are rarer than others etc...

PDale

Actually there is no power difference between models, it is between years. IIRC the power increase came in 99 with the improved turbos on ALL models. Depends on your insurance company, all my insurance companies said \'it makes no difference\'. If I had an RZ I would probably make a point of it when insuring it and pick an insurance company that recognises it as being rarer than other RX7s. Easier said than done....

Efini is a brand name of Mazda as is Eunos, launched in Japan in the early 90\'s.
Efini RX7= JDM Mazda RX7 up to 99 when they were branded under Mazda
Eunos Roadster= JDM Mazda MX5.
Just a way of marketing cars, like Lexus is to Toyota.
Efini is not a special edition.
Infini Meaning infinity was a special edition of the FC3s in the late 80\'s.

amazed to see such a range on here.. feeling stung by £850 premium and 7 years no claims with flux...

JohnP

DELIGHTED to say i\'v just got my premium down from £850 a year with flux, down to £288 with PBIS. rx7boy who suggested them, I love you.

Awesome.. I was amazed when I reinsured my FD this year for £312 with Footman James. Made getting mine back on the road much easier.

Hi, I have come here from the Czech Republic I have 2 FC. I plan to be here for some time. And buy a Eunos Cosmo 20B ECCS. Unfortunately all the sites I\'ve found it with insurance this car. In addition, for us to take the contents of the engine as the Mazda 13B (1308cc) 20B (1962cc). Please help.
