My Kwak redlines at about 15 500 but it has to because its a tiny engine that doesnt make much torque and its internals are light and small enough to accelerate, stop and reverse like 200 times second. Like Prof said, why do it if you don\'t have to though? Hondas are just frustrating and annoying the way you have to cane the hell out of them all the time just to get them to not be overtaken by stationary objects. It\'s a stupid way of getting power. The more engines are tuned for revs the more difficult they become to use and the more ineffective they tend to become at most of their rev range other than the narrow band they\'ve been tuned for. And that\'s with nice poppet valves and cam timing that\'s a given quantity, not with porting and overlap issues to address like on a rotary, not to mention coping with a combustion chamber that not only changes shape but physically moves about. The gas flow dynamics are scary! I think the reason that rotaries don\'t exploit their theoretical rev advantage more (ie lack of reciprocating inertia) is that the law of diminishing returns simply makes it less worthwhile the higher you go.

I so want to change my FC gauges to this (red line):

You can see the sort of mods it has in other videos :)

Also check the fuel guage before and after the video on this one!

My RX8 revs to 9344rpm, according to the CampII.

Apparently putting details of your car spec in your signature means the nice folks on exile-rotorsport think you\'re a fool.  I can think of no higher compliment!

Soft limit on ours is @ 9250rpm too :)

that drop\'s probably the fuel being forced to the back of the tank, but impressive none the less
