Oh & rubbing strips, clutch splines different,no leccy windows[but still has leccy ariel],different alloys,no rear wiper etc.
Highrise seats in S1\'s were better than those fitted in S2/S3\'S.
Steering more precise too.

I already have a few that I want like that...

Argh,12A no good,stick a 13b in.
A guy called peter or is it christopher is doing a 400bhp Fb,i think being done by Atomic Rex.

Yes, those cars are awesome, get a few more builds like that, maybe even more extreme, just something that catches peoples eyes.

Kinda like \'that 240z\' that circulated a year or two ago. It was kinda ratty and not perfect and far to \'slammed\' in that kinda US way, but it got peoples imagination, and I\'ve seen far more 240 pictures and stuff floating about since, and far more of my friends who are only vaguely into cars now know what a 240z is.

12a carbed is fine, if its bridged with an IDA..... ;)

At the risk of upsetting some folks i think there\'s enough room for modded & stock Fb\'s in a club, but obviously if a car is mint it\'s a shame/crime to mod it!

If i had enough space i\'d have a modded & stock Fb,single 1960\'s garages unfortunately do not allow.

Is the opal green Fb from Scotland being saved now or has that fallen by?

Skifledanabit

The problem is, to get them to the standard of this pics I posted, it takes mega monies

I can\'t deny it would cost money.
Fc\'s did come with more power than Fb\'s,Ian is doing a Elford Turbo conversion & captain bizzaro[Tim] is putting a 13b lump in,so they would be the guys to ask ref cost/hassle/bhp output.
ta stu..

Would love to Mod the one im getting but i wont. want to keep it standard, maybe a second one in the future to mod, iv\'e got enough to keep the 3rd Gen going at the moment, it\'s got a bad cough so has to go to the Doctors in the morning,
Lead me not into temptation, I can find it myself...
But i can always do with some help now due to, my advancing years!

Thanks for remembering me Dave! :cool

What a great idea to help save the FB - such a great under rated car by many in this country. I know of quite a few of my friends still have these as second cars in NZ even though they have sensible haircuts and jobs nowdays.

As far as prices go, us Anitpodeans would certainly help to raise prices if there was more of us here - I know the 2 I have bought I paid over the odds for given the current market, and the most recent one, the guy had owned for 14 years, and had been offered silly low prices to the point where he had been insulted given the love he had poured in - I was happy to offer him something sensible knowing its intrisic value and he was much happier letting it go. New motto? "Save an FB, import a Kiwi!"

But reality prevails and it all comes back to the fact of a car is only worth what someone will pay for it - a perfectly good green car will be worth more to some of us than others (not mentioning names.. I_A_N :D) However, rest assured when the numbers dwindle as they are doing, prices will rise just like the RX2/3/4s are now - try to find even a basket-case of the aforementioned for cheap..

And for what its worth to those of you who frequent this thread - my 7 now has a little brother...

What is to put you off? Fairly simple to drop a 13b EGi into the babies and awa you go. If you are keep, I can help with bits tech info to make it a smooth transition - could easily be done in a day if the bits were on hand.

Didnt you run a 14s qtr in your EGI? take about 300kg off and you have a fairly nippy motor..

shaunwil

The parts are easy to source and they feel much more nipply with a 13b.

Always think of Viking War hammer on Rx7club and tub a 1st gen with a ford 9in Axle and monster tyres under the stock arches at the back. Would need to be a fresh chassis, would be fun with the 3d CAD package I use for work (have a home license) to make it in CDS !

I\'m still considering selling up the 1st gen and getting a boring mondeo, partly for running costs but also for trailering the FD to tracks further away !

Don\'t worry about missing me in the list, I don\'t mind :Giggle
