David Nock (RIP)

It does say "Spares or Brave Repair" Stu. Can\'t get a fairer description than that. No details available for this poor machine....cast aside like......well like a useless scrap thing.

Quote from: Steve-A;719450David, just thought I\'d let you guys know the gold s2 reg ending EPH, will be transfered over to me in a few days. So it\'ll be coming to live in Malvern with me and hopefully back on the road in a few months :)

I took quite a liking to from the day I went to view it Ross before he bought it! I\'m looking forward to a new project, hoping to return it to its former glory though quite likely with a performance bias :D

Welcome to the joys of 1st gen ownership Steve. Looking forward to seeing what you do to this car, if your MX5 is anything to go by, it\'ll be well sorted.
It\'s a shame Ross couldn\'t get it on the road, hopefully he\'ll keep the faith and buy a MOT\'d 1st gen that he can use straight away.
Anything we can do to help.... just ask!

Been to pick up an engine today, and was shown this.......

A190BAU.....well and truly retired S2-available for parts if anyone wants details-she resides in Worchester.

Can I just also add that I was wearing flipflops so had to suffer a fair bit to get the reg of this one as she was rather engulfed by the surrounding habitat!

Ian65

Flipflops in October?! You\'re a hard lot in Dorsetshire! I wonder if it\'s got an oil cooler on it?
Is it being broken for spares Tim or sold complete for spares?

captainbizzaro

When the sun shines Ian........

She does have an oil cooler, I did look for you but forgot to mention it. I think they would sell bits off her before she goes I\'ll PM you a phone number once I\'ve got his permission to do so. There is also an Eric Clapton cassette tape inside her if anyone is interested, along with half of the hedge you can see in the pic.:Giggle

Nice find Captain, another one being engulfed by nature.

Engulfed is probably the best way to describe her, she\'s been there ten years so is sunk up to her non existent sills. (Which I did have a "hopeful" feel for.)

It must be in a state if the most desirable bit is an Eric Clapton cassette!

Hi Guys. You may remember me joining a couple of weeks ago.

Well, we are almost through the MOT... (Front disks and pads, a bit of welding,  considerable fun with the emissions control until we convinced them it is old enough not to count...) and now having freed off the rear calipers I am hunting for some rear pads and then we will be away!
However, you asked for some pictures. I have never done this before so I have looked at the instructions someone published last year, but no guarantees:

Tha car was an Elford show car on the Mazda stand at the 1982 motor show, hence the snazzy paint job and graphics. My wife and I saw it there but could not have afforded it at half of the price - and so were pleased to see it for sale secondhand in 1986. We were richer by then and it was cheaper by then so we bought it. And here we are...

Enjoy..

Looks like nettles surrounding the car,did u get stung in ur flip flops clearing it?

Love the sign behind it "Taking Care Seriously".

How much of the car was visible when u 1st saw it?

It\'s like the silver fb above, over many years they just sink into the ground.

My legs got seriously stung but ya know, anything for Sir Nock.:D

You could see the roof and if you looked closely, the bonnet. Proper engulfed.
