long mot.

.

res is 850. wonder if it will go for that much?
wonder what he would say to £600 cash in hand in fresh £10 notes.
can not use £5 notes cos too small, £20 notes wont be a fat enough stack and dont even think about £50 notes as wont seem fat lol

anyone here bidding on it?

Try him, but take a look at that front panel between the headlights, it looks abit doggy at the seam with the bonnet and the mazda badge is missing from it, so it could have had some frontal damage.
   good luck

Quote from: L18M;707087i just spotted that on ebay also and its not far form me. it has got a reserve. wonder what its reserve is.
how much do you guys think its worth?
i\'m tempted to upgrade to an fb now!
though my gal has bad luck with green cars.. but eh, its not heres and she wont be driving it :p

I think that looks a real interesting car, never seen that colour before and if it was an aftermarket job at least they took the time to do under the bonnet. Leather looks in good condition and I think its got TWR side skirts but its difficult to tell from the pics.
Well worth a punt I think let us know how you get on.

Promised to upload some pics of \'JAZ\' so here we go and lets hope it works.
From initial collection early March 2010 to ongoing work to bring her back to roadworthy condition.
Have loads more but don\'t want to bore you to death.  Cliff   :cheers

Looking good Cliff, where abouts in the UK are you.

You won\'t bore us Cliff, we love looking at pictures!
Fair play to you for doing this car, I\'ve big respect for anyone who gets stuck in and restores a car, it takes dedication and a lot of passion for the job.

I personally love white 1st gens and I reckon the series 2  looks really smart and very retro on those 13" alloys. It\'s going to be a cracker!

Another big plus is that white is probably the easiest and most forgiving colour to spray, unlike black which shows every little imperfection.

How far away from mot time are you now or has it already been done?

As Dave will tell you, there are very few roadworthy series 2 cars left, so for you to repair this one and put it back on the road is just great.

Nice one, great work!

Morning Dibs, from the North West - Wirral but travel here and there with job as necessary (Quality Manager) and yes guys will say \'ah that\'s why I\'m a b*g**r for detail.  If you\'re going to do a job, do it right I say.  How about yourself, where are you from mate?  Cliff

Morning Ian - me too, always had a passion for a white sports car but to finish with a 1st Gen S2 even better - wow! When I first saw \'JAZ\' I thought this is something special and had a gut feeling about it (even though my wife felt it would be a rust bucket) but hey it is 27 years young, let\'s not be silly, got to expect corrosion somewhere.
Agree white is fairly easy to blend in providing you can get a good match but us maniacs (sorry enthusiasts) know it is really difficult to acquire a perfect match because records sem to stop @ 20+ years.
\'JAZ\' has not had an MOT since I embraced her and if all goes to plan I hoping to put her through paces late August or early September.
There is definitely a passion to restore this type of vehicle and despite the work involved (which I wouldn\'t consider as being excessive) I would not hesitate to do it again to another - in fact I probably will but \'JAZ\' is for life.
A few more fotos\' too, original brown interior, stripping out interior to see what she is like bodily wise (ooh those shapes are a turn on), replacement wine/burgndy interior being installed - and this is why I\'m looking for replacement carpets!
Once this is finished I already have projevct 2 in the wings - 2nd Gen FCS, calling her \'RAZ\'.
ps you guys cetrainly are early risers or is it that you are late to bed?
Cliff

Dibs, lovely part of the country, I collected \'JAZ\' from down you way in March (Reading - well it\'s closer to you than it was for me anyway) and also in June when I collected \'RAZ\' from Crawley - who knows for my next collection?
My passion for RX7s\' started in 1987 when I owned a 2.6 GT import from Japan.  Against better judgement due to change in circumstances we part ex\'d her but the passion couldn\'t keep away.  Really glad I came back on board when I did having established the very limited edition or remaining 1st Gen S2 around.

L18M. This is the back axle tie-rod mount which all 1st Gen owners are paranoid about....or should be paranoid about. They crack along the middle of the triangular reinforcing plate and rot through into the rear passenger area.

Cliff....Jaz has not done too badly at all in this area has it? I\'ve seen pics of much worse \'back ends\' if you\'ll forgive the expression. Hope you don\'t mind the \'PicPinch\' for L18M.
