Been in the FB all week. Not been over 3k rpm and even been near 5th gear !

Not the best weather, definitely not recommended  !

I nearly used the RX7 today instead of the Jag, thinking that a manual would be better than an auto. Changed my mind at the last minute and it was lucky I did... slide on some ice on a B road at 10mph and only the ABS saved me. If I\'d been in the FB, I\'d have shunted it!
I\'m leaving mine on the drive until things warm up!!

Its the only motor at the minute so no real choice !

Did the wheels scrub up ok ??

They\'re still in my garage at the moment!!

I had to use mine today, as HID\'s was in for a service, lucky on main roads only, first time it will have had any road salt on it for a very long time, lets hope its not to long before I can hose it off.

I was in Lanzarote 3 days ago by the pool, 80 degrees, so this weather seems like -20 to me!

We could start a whole new thread here. Our Merc is a 3 litre V6 with 7 speed auto and back tyres more like garden rollers. Even in winter driving mode it\'s got way too much torque delivery for snow and ice so skids and slips everywhere.....but it\'s got ABS, ESP, a zillion airbags and GNWEIICFTS, (God knows what else if I can find the switches)....so if we are rash enough to go out we stand a far better chance in a shunt than good ol\' RX7 Gus. His 205 tyres and light weight are still a bit too much for snow conditions, even though the torque is way down.

So yeah, staying in catching up on computer jobs like LP converting and photo copying.

@dave,whats LP converting.
Is that abbreviated for \'loadsa porn?\':Giggle
Ta stu...

Ooh No.... Only soft porn off tele these days. Anyone see that Murderland with Robbie Coltrane the other week? Some good SP in the last episode..when the black pants fell onto the floor.....Wow. Licking lips emoticon required here.

Its recording LP\'s using a system like Roxio Platinum (I use Roxio Toast for Mac) and transferring them to CD\'s Stu.
I was given about 120 top quality classical albums about a year ago that had hardly been on a turntable. Trouble is it\'s a real time (soundstream) process. An album takes 45 minutes to do both sides, then you scan in the cover artwork and print CD covers and lables. I reckon on about 3 hours per Album for a very good home produced CD.
A total waste of time if you don\'t like Classical Music. But if you do like it, some of these records are historic and unobtainable now....\'Cos everyone\'s dead!  Woops.

I\'d love to do that with all my old Motown LP\'s, but taking them to parties in the late 60\'s early 70\'s has put paid to that..............lots of background noises, must be the scratches.
