the mods have started for the winter, not really done much, too cold with the car outside. got to tidy the garage out and move the bikes out and tbh i carnt be bothered  :rollin

havent been near the car but decided to start it up as it hasnt been started for a while. well the battery had gone flat so had to get battery pack out and it started straight away but it sounded like a bridge as it was warming up and a lot of blue smoke which didnt seem to clear   also when it has warmed up it wasnt idleing too well and when i gave it a few revs there was some black smoke/fuel.....

if you look at the vid around 24 secs you can see all the smoke near the other car on the drive.

is it just because the dash is all disconnected or have i lost the map off the ecu because the battery has been dead :rolleyes: :confused:

the thing is its always smoked for around 10 seconds or so and then go, its just this time it never cleared and its never had that much overlap before either.  

 me too, i havent heard it for a while either.... RNS is in deed, a god send

Does sound like a bridge karl ! mine always starts with blue smoke but i use it once a week and i think the premix sinks to the bottom of the tank

Will have to make another vid to show how it idles when warm and the black smoke when its revved.

have you tried driving it and warming it up properly? probably moisture has got to the plugs if you are saying it has been sat for a while

no not yet mark, will try that at the weekend. just dont understand why it was idling so poorly. like you say though, could be just moisture.  thanks for that bud

no updates, been in too much of a merry state lol

well i started it again the other day and there is no magic change, managed to sort the idle out better with adjustment of the screw on the TB (dont see why i needed to though??) but still sounds like a bridge. there was a bit of a hesitation to start with but im sure thats just down to the 10 and 11\'s, once it had warmed up a bit, it cleared.

there is still oil smoke, which does die down, but is still there with fuel smoke when given some load from the turbo.

gave it a little drive up the road but i didnt go far and is still kinda there all the time.

engine is coming out when i can be bothered, to fit the sump brace and tidy a few things so i will check the plugs and ignition system and hope its just that it needs a run out
